"Ladies and gentlemen, out speaker tonight will be Jestin, who is going to tell us about Eonak"

"Please be seated and give him yer attention"

Iscikella nods to Jestin
Jestin says, "Well before we begin tonight sort of a disclaimer"
Jestin says, "I have followed Eonak a long time and follwed him faithfully"
Jestin says, "But we learn something new everyday, and so when I speak of Eonak I am discussing what I know or think of Eonak at this time"
Jestin says, "Which as we grow older and learn more is of course always libale to change"
Jestin says, "And part of the reason for this festival and these talks is to learn from others"
Jestin smiles
Jestin says, "So do not take anything I say as the final word on Eonak as an arkarti because even those of us who worship the same arkarti sometimes different in opinion"
Jestin says, "Eonak is none among most as the God of Forging, and because of this is misunderstood by many"
Jestin says, "Forging is but a small aspect of this Arkarti, but because we picture Eonak with a hammer in his hand we forgot the other more important aspects of this particular God"
Jestin says, "Eonak is not olny the god of forging, but also the god of Labor and Crafts"
Jestin says, "This is important to realize for it gives us the reason that Eonak is important, for in effect he becomes the God of the common folk and indeed civilization itself"
Jestin says, "For Eonak loves the act of labor, whether it be the ordinary farmer or the mighty adventurer plying his trade"
Jestin says, "He is most pleased with those that sweat for a living as they ply their craft"
Jestin says, "And as for loving the crafts and the real reason he is placed in this particular hall"
Jestin says, "The crafts he takes pleasure in are those of the functional kind, he enjoys a well made plow as much as a well made sword"
Jestin grins
Jestin says, "Indeed, when you look in a town or a city, you see the handiwork of Eonak everywhere, every building , every road, took someone willing to construct and every well made ship sarted as someones dream"
Jestin points at the south wall
Jestin says, "And though the Murals are lovely, those of us Eonak notice the wall beneath it as art"
Jestin says, "And that is the most important thin"
Jestin says, "Of course this does make outsiders consider those who follow Eonak as a bit too practical and perhaps a bit stodgy"
Jestin says, "For in truth while others enjoy the Beauty of a tree, we are probably wondering what a beautiful table we can make out of it"
Jestin says, "So we do tend to keep to the cities more than the countryside"
Jestin says, "And as a follower of Eonak, we try follow his example of ethics, which means we have a tendency to take few vacations"
Jestin says, "And as his cleric , I try to also remember that he is concerned with ALL thos that work, so I try to serve the commonfolk as best I can and not just the adventurerers among us"
Jestin says, "And I always keep in mind one basic precept, those that work hard gain much, but all the skill in the world helps little unless you do something with it"
Jestin asks, "And I think I have taken up enough time with my talking , so any questions or comments?"
Kadesha raises her hand
Jestin nods to Kadesha
Jestin says, "Ya have the floor M'lady"
Jestin smiles
Kadesha says, "unless I am deaf, which is possible, ya didn mention he's often a favorite among Dwarves"
Kadesha says, "although I am more partial to Cholen an the art of brewing"
Kadesha chuckles
Jestin says, "He is considered their patron Arkarti, and he loves them for their hard work true enough"
Kadesha says, "She's my favorite but theres others I like"
Jestin nods to Morgiest
Jestin asks, "Aye?"
Jestin grins
Morgiest asks, "Does Lord Eonak hae any enemies among the Arkati? Or family?"
Jestin says, "He is consort to Imeara"
Jestin says, "Which goes well because if ya every farmed you know that few work harder than farmers"
Jestin grins
Morgiest asks, "Any that he particularly dislikes?"
Jestin asks, "As for enemies, he is too busy too have any in particular, besides not good for you to be against him, what would ya fight with?"
Morgiest works his fingers under his vultite sallet and scratches his head
Jestin says, "Angelrise is next"
Jestin smiles
Angelrise asks, "Now, you mentioned that Eonak is partial to crafted items that serve a specific function, aye?"
Jestin says, "He is not into art for art's sake"
Angelrise asks, "Is he also partial to crafted items whose sole purpose is destruction?"
Jestin rubs his chin thoughtfully
Angelrise says, "Just out of curiousity"
Jestin asks, "You mean such as swords?"
Angelrise rubs her chin thoughtfully
Jestin says, "I think that depends on how you look at things lass"
Angelrise nods to Jestin
Jestin says, "Most anything made can be used to both create or destroy"
Angelrise says, "Hm"
Angelrise nods
Jestin says, "A sword can be used to protect one's family against marauder's as well as marauder's"
Jestin chuckles
Jestin says, "And I think Guhl was after angelrise but I might be forgettin"
Jestin grins
Guhl says, "yep"
Jestin says, "Thought ya raised yer hand twice"
Jestin smiles
Guhl asks, "why was eonake, of all possible metals, named for Lord Eonak?"
Jestin chuckles
Jestin says, "I was afraid of that, I got a theories but no sure answer"
Iscikella says, "Theories are welcome here"
Iscikella nods to Jestin
Jestin says, "My personal one is that Eonak is the main power behind the bless spell"
Guhl says, "hmmm"
Jestin says, "And therefore we mortals decided to name that particular metal afte him in his honor"
Kadesha says, "would fit with the Voln steps, symbol of blessing and holines both are granted honoring Eonak"
Jestin nods to Kadesha
Kadesha says, "an eonake is sanctified"
Jestin says, "Others would say it might be the metal he used to make weapons for the Ancient wars"
Jestin shrugs
Kadesha says, "sanctified, though, did we name it, or his blessing of that metal name it"
Jestin says, "But that is a mystery know one can claim to know for sure"
Jestin rubs a crystal amulet
Jestin gets an odd look on his face
Morgiest says, "Well, cept maybe Eonak himself"
Morgiest grins at Jestin
Morgiest asks, "A commune perhaps?"
Morgiest works his fingers under his vultite sallet and scratches his head
Jestin says, "Good luck, he not answer many of those too nusy"
Jestin says, "Busy"

Jestin asks, "Besides a more important question in his mind would be how can I design a better plow?"
Tierus says, "'Tis best tae leave tae tha Arkati wha' isnae meant tae be known"

Jestin says, "The metal is named, why it is named that way is unimportant"
Jestin says, "Why call vultite vultite"
Jestin shrugs
Morgiest says, "Ah, but there is nae Arkati named Vultite"
Jestin says, "Someone who first discovered it named it that"
Morgiest chuckles

Tierus says, "Acsh'lly, vultite"
Jestin says, "I always thought the metal was named in honor for its properties nothing more"
Tierus says, "Vultite derives frem tha ancient name o' tha Great Spirit Voln, which is Vult This maynae be tha correct reason, bu' 'tis a reason" He blushes "Bu' ah'll be quiet"
Jestin says, "Ya still have the floor Guhl"
Jestin grins at Tierus
Guhl says, "well mebbe this is another thing lost in the mists o' time, but I was wondering about that veil iron arm in the mural over there"
Guhl points at the south wall
Jestin says, "Ya good at asking questions we all seek the answer for"
Kadesha asks, "den why was it called shaalk back den?"
Kadesha says, "er sorry"
Jestin says, "No one knows as of yet how Eonak lost his arm"
Jestin says, "Only that he himself crafted his new one"
Jestin says, "We speculate, he lost it in some battle, he got to close to one of his won forge fires"
Jestin says, "And the ever popular, he cut it off himself to make a better one"
Morgiest says, "Got tae friendly with lady Imeara The possibilities are endlesss"
Jestin chuckles
Guhl laughs!
Morgiest whistles tunelessly to himself
Grandevr gives Morgiest a little prod between the shoulder blades
Jestin says, "Though I think the last is a bit too practical even for him"
Jestin grins
Morgiest grins at Jestin
Morgiest snaps his fingers
Jestin says, "Besides he can make other things fo the Lady Imearawhich we will NOT go into"
Morgiest furrows his brow
Jestin says, "KAdesha I am sorry it has taken so long"
Jestin says, "But you were next"
Kadesha says, "oh, never mind, kinda blurbed it out since then"
Jestin says, "If ya can still remember your comment after this long"

Kadesha says, "I tend agree with ya about why eonake is called eonake, though, its holy properties"
Morgiest raises his hand
Jestin nods to Kadesha

Morgiest asks, "How do ye honor Lord Eonak? Ifin one were a follower a his, what would they do tae honor him?"
Jestin smiles
Jestin says, "Again that differs among different folk"
Jestin says, "I honor him by working hard for the folk of this community, serving as best I may"
Morgiest asks, "Servin them by creatin things?"
Morgiest asks, "Or servin em by jes bein helpful?"
Jestin says, "I do it by being helpful and through wroking with the few skills I have"
Jestin says, "By doing more than praying"
Jestin smiles
Morgiest asks, "Are ye a master forger by chance?"
Jestin shakes his head
Morgiest nods to Jestin
Morgiest says, "Thanke fer the answers"
Jestin says, "Tis something I plan to wrok on one day, but in truth he has given me the blessings of clerical work"
Morgiest nods to Jestin
Jestin says, ""I do not see Eonak and his worship as limited to forging"
Jestin says, "A soldier can fight"
Jestin says, "A soldier who worships EOnak trains hard to be the best"
Morgiest says, "Oh aye But as he is almost always pictured at the forge, er with his forgin hammah in hand"
Morgiest shrugs
Jestin says, "And it is hoped that he uses his skill to protect others who do not have it"
Jestin nods to Morgiest
Jestin says, "As do most"
Jestin smiles
Jestin says, "And forging is a fine way to follow him"
Jestin says, "But like I said before he loves work as much as craftsmanship"
Jestin says, "A farmer creates food for those of us in the city"
Jestin says, "A farmer who works hard and is good at his craft does more service for others"
Jestin says, "What I am saying is don't limit your view of Eonak to just one aspect"
Jestin says, "After all a forger creates nails as well as swords"
Jestin smiles
Jestin says, "And usually the nail serves us better"
Kadesha raises her hand
Jestin nods to Kadesha
Jestin asks, "Comment lass?"
Kadesha says, "If I may, I think a priests duties are to minister to the followers of their respective Arkati, jestin need not be a master forger, to minister to those whom are artisans"
Kadesha says, "his own calling however, is to the priesthood"
Morgiest asks, "Lass ehh?"
Morgiest grins at Kadesha

Guhl asks, "is there a holiday or festival or other event in the year dedicated to Eonak?"
You hear the voice of a crier nearby, "Angelrise is now available to answer new adventurers' questions at Silverwood Manor in Icemule Trace (Go outside and use DIR SILVERWOOD to find the way there)"
Jestin grins
Jestin says, "Not yet"
Gunnard rubs his chin thoughtfully
Jestin asks, "Course kinda of hard to justify it, Honor the Arkarti of Labour by taking a day off?"

Guhl says, "cuz I was wondering, if the slow rebuilding of Wehnimer's has anything to do with the fact that its citizens aren't honoring Eonak enough"
Kadesha says, "Landin is rather rebuilt if ya havent looked"
Guhl says, "still quite a few bits closed"
Guhl says, "i'd call it half rebuilt myself, but what do I know, I never lived through a burning before that one"
Kadesha says, "to my knowledge only things closed now are due to a muder investigation unrelated to the Luukosian armies fires"
Jestin says, "rebuilding anything takes time, the important thing is to do it right"
Jestin smiles
Iscikella says, "Took three years for the fire damage to be fixed here in Mule"
Kadesha says, "and those shops are rebuilt still"
Kadesha says, "Landin lookin all clean again"
Morgiest says, "Thats cause the halflins wouldn't stop takin tart breaks Isci"

Jestin says, "Well everyone knows the shouldna have rebuilt the bakery first"

Kyutir asks, "Do the Arkati have physical descriptions that you can relate to us or are they formless, and if so what does Eonak look like?"
Guhl asks, "does Eonak in fact have an animal companion or familiar?"
Kadesha points at the south wall
Jestin says, "As for an animal companion he has none that I am aware of"
Kyutir asks, "and iron arm?"
Kyutir babbles something unintelligible
Jestin says, "And if you look at the south wall you will see how he is most often depicted"
Kyutir asks, "an iron arm?"
Kyutir asks, "did he lose it in the Ur'Daemon war?"
Kyutir says, "i guess i didn't know as much as i thought"
Kyutir gazes heavenward
Jestin says, "No one is sure how he lost his arm, inly that he lost it and built the replacement"
Jestin smiles
Jestin says, "The war is a likely possibility but there are others"
Kyutir asks, "was he actually involved in the fighting ?"
Morgiest says, "Ah doubt it was in the war Kai is reportedly the only livin Arkati tae have actually foguth the Ur-daemons"
Jestin nods to Morgiest
Jestin says, "That we know of"
Jestin says, "But Eonak is likely to have used his skill to arm others, and reportedly did so"
Kyutir rubs his chin thoughtfully
Jestin says, "Now as to whether that was a reason for loosing his arm is another thing entirely"
Kyutir ponders
Jestin says, "One thing to remember is we actually know very little about the individual Arakrti, but we are learning more"
Jestin says, "One day I think we will find out for sure how Eonak lost his arm, but for now it is only specultion"
Kyutir says, "i see"
Kyutir asks, "the metal eonake is named after Eonak do you know the orgin of this material and the entomolgy of it's name?"
Kyutir says, "why, i should ask, was it named after him"
Jestin says, "No one knows, best theory, EOnak granst the power of bless to kill undead"
Kyutir asks, "so blessing is a clerical spell granted by Eonak??"
Jestin says, "Since that metal ia always sanctified, they named it after him in honour of that"
Jestin smiles
Kyutir says, "truely a rare metal"
Jestin says, "Again an opinion, based mostly on the fact he does that for those of VOln"
Jestin says, "But I would say yes, then again I could be wrong"
