The lecture on Eorgina by Jolivette and Naessi.
Written and edited by Morgiest Frostgiant
Pand Arkati Festival, month of Koaratos, 5102

Iscikella recites:

"Folks, this is the lecture and panel on Eorgina."

Jolivette says, "Evening."
Iscikella recites:

"Our lecturers will be Jolivette and Naessi."

Iscikella recites:

"Please give them yer attention. Keep fidgeting to a minimum."

Iscikella recites:

"No spellcasting please."

Tierus recites:

"An' please, follow tha directives o' tha lecturers."

Iscikella recites:

"And do let them finish their talks. They will open the floor to discussion when they are done speaking."

Jolivette removes an ancient priestess's staff from in her black greatcloak.
Jolivette removes a ruby-inset black wax candle from in her black greatcloak.
Jolivette says, "We need some light in here."
Jolivette smiles.
Jolivette carefully places her black wax candle on the ground.
(Jolivette positions the candle so that the soft lights casts upon the west wall.)
Jolivette lights the black wax candle, which flickers and begins to burn.
Jolivette removes a ruby and onyx inlaid faenor chalice from in her black greatcloak.
Jolivette takes a drink from her inlaid faenor chalice.
Jolivette clears her throat.
Jolivette put a ruby and onyx inlaid faenor chalice in her black greatcloak.
Jolivette grins.
Jolivette says, "Good Evening."
Jolivette smiles slightly as her eyes shift over those gathered.
Jolivette says, "I normally do everything possible to avoid traveling to this blasted block of ice we call Icemule..."
Jolivette curses darkly, her eyes narrowing in spite.
Jolivette says, "But tonight I am honored to speak on a great force in my life and pleased to do it in a room that I tolerate Icemule long enough just to visit from time to time."
Jolivette gazes with interest at a grey altar.
Jolivette bows.
Jolivette says, "I speak of Eorgina."
(Jolivette gestures to the figure depicted on the west wall of the chamber. )
Jolivette says, "My name is Jolivette Cleoness, high priestess of Eorgina and a high priestess of The Circle of the Grey Moon."
(Jolivette briefly sizes up the crowd.)
Jolivette says, "I'm certain we have quite a mix of folk here, from all points on the spectrum."
Jolivette says, "Whether you have never heard of Eorgina before, are familiar but wish to broaden your knowledge in general, or are a fellow brother or sister in Her service... I hope that this proves enlightening at the very least."
(Jolivette slowly saunters back and forth and looks thoughtfully at the west wall as she begins to speak.)
Jolivette says, "The Goddess Eorgina..."
Jolivette says, "Ruler of Lornon and Mistress of Darkness, Domination and Tyranny.. Some of us call Her Rightful Queen of the Gods."
(Jolivette stops beside the altar and faces the crowd.)
Jolivette says, "Taken at face value, She is perceived as an overbearing, power-hungry, vain woman.."
Jolivette says, "There is no denying this.."
(Jolivette slowly cracks a smile, remaining otherwise perfectly composed.)
Jolivette says, "However, taking a closer look at the many facets of Eorgina and Her spheres reveals how complex and overlooked Her very image really is."
Jolivette says, "A bit about Eorgina.."
Jolivette says, "It has been written that Her name was originally Eor ail'Giina, meaning for flight and strength. This She later shortened to Eorgina."
(Jolivette again turns toward the wall, pointing at each feature as she continues.)
Jolivette says, "Breathtakingly beautiful She is... long cascading ebon hair which enhances the luminous quality of her flawless skin."
Jolivette says, "Her striking eyes a deep grey, from the center of which ruby flecks seem to burn like tiny dancing flames."
Jolivette asks, "Of course she is never adorned with anything less than the finest of gems and lavish jewelry for what else could compliment such beauty?"
(Jolivette glances down at the altar.)
Jolivette says, "Flames..."
(Jolivette absentmindedly runs a finger along her tattooed choker.)
Jolivette says, "Red stylized flames upon a field of grey is Her symbol."
Jolivette says, "Looking at the spheres of Darkness, Domination, and Tyranny and why these are in Her control may give a clearer image as to what makes Eorgina tick."
Jolivette says, "In Her ongoing quest to gain greater power than that which She already beholds, Eorgina is a master of tools. "
Jolivette says, "Eorgina means to gather an army of sorts - those whose inner growing darkness She will draw Her strength from - and She expects Her followers to aid in bringing them to Her."
Jolivette says, "Her greatest goal of course, is to take Lumnis' place at Koar's side, eventually doing away with him as well... and She diligently bides Her time contemplating the perfect plan to accomplish this."
Jolivette says, "This very planning process and malicious creativity of unrestrained determination is what Eorgina enjoys.... rather than a common misconception that She would trifle with petty murders and mass violence with no benefit in the grander scheme of things."
Jolivette says, "She has said in my presence that folks serve Her much better alive than dead, as would make perfect sense."
Jolivette says, "I like to think of Eorgina's three spheres of Darkness, Domination and Tyranny as tools that aid in achieving such extravagant whims and wishes of such a Queen as She."
Jolivette says, "Each sphere can be approached from many different angles and their uses.. infinite."
Jolivette says, "Eorgina's first sphere is that of Darkness...."
Jolivette removes a shifting black obsidian orb from in her black tome case.
(Jolivette slowly turns the orb in her hands, peering into it as she speaks.)
Jolivette says, "Moriane saVere, one of Eorgina's first priestesses to bring Her teachings to light, once wrote this:"
Jolivette recites:

"She rules not the night
But the blackness of it.
Not the ending of the day,
But the reason for its end.
I ask, what is day without night?
It is nothing.
What is light without dark?
Again, nothing."

Jolivette recites:

"Ah, you may ask, what is dark without light?
It is still darkness, blackness, pure to its very center."

Jolivette says, "This is true, for even when the light is at its brightest, the shadows are at their greatest... Very few sources of light, if any at all, are capable of ridding the ever-lurking shadows."
Jolivette glances at a ruby-inset black wax candle.
Jolivette asks, "How is Darkness a tool?"
Jolivette raises an eyebrow.
Jolivette says, "Darkness can be perceived as many different things depending on whom its effects are being used upon."
Jolivette says, "In some people, darkness symbolizes a certain fear, whereas others feel encompassed and drawn to it."
Jolivette tightens her grip on her priestess's staff.
Jolivette says, "Darkness can be difficult to understand and obscure, which would come in handy for concealing Eorgina's wicked workings."
Jolivette says, "Most of all, Darkness is the icing on the cake to the other two tools of Domination and Tyranny.. and its role is important."
(Jolivette paces a few steps before continuing, taking a moment to glance over the crowd.)
Jolivette says, "An extremely misunderstood facet of Eorgina is Her sphere of Domination, though it is probably my favorite and most fascinating of the three. The very word brings different ideas to mind depending on whom you speak to. "
Jolivette says, "To me, Domination is a fine art once fully understood and mastered. "
Jolivette says, "More than just holding power over another, it can be as subtle as a commanding presence... One need not say a word to have domination over another."
Jolivette smiles faintly.
Jolivette says, "As a tool, the art of Domination can be extremely bewitching if used properly, drawing others to you unknowingly or garnering respect and credibility."
Jolivette says, "It requires an air of confidence and most definitely tremendous class, which I find Eorgina to be the epitome of."
Jolivette asks, "Domination is the very essence of respect in my opinion... How can you command respect by throwing your weight around, eventually causing all to cringe or roll their eyes at your very presence?"
Jolivette says, "That is not to say that Domination shouldn't instill a certain fear in people, but that fear should be out of respect."
Jolivette says, "Afterall, those of Eorgina are meant to draw people to them for Her uses, not scare them away and represent Her as tolerable of a bunch of classless imbeciles."
Jolivette says, "Eorgina is royalty, She is a Queen... and expects to be represented well by Her followers."
Jolivette says, "The last sphere Eorgina controls is that of Tyranny. I find this the most often to be taken at face value when in fact, it truly delves much deeper under the surface."
Jolivette says, "As I said earlier.. it is much better for one to be alive so they can better serve rather than to be dead. Mistress Eorgina is not one to waste Her time with random acts of violence and murder to maintain Her dominant position."
Jolivette says, "Like Eorgina, most despots do not take a direct hand in this dirty work, but rather send off others to handle it for them. Onar, the Assassin of the Gods, is known to carry out such attempts most often for Eorgina."
Jolivette says, "There is a time and place for such acts to occur, and foremost, only for very good reasons that would only help to further Her goals. "
Jolivette says, "Besides, many folk are short-sighted enough to believe that Eorgina is, dare I say it - predictable - in this area."
Jolivette rolls her eyes.
Jolivette says, "Such a thought is just that, predictable.. and unfortunately is not suprising when considering the origin."
Jolivette waves her hand in a dismissive gesture.
Jolivette says, "Her teachings do not focus on trivial things such as life and death, but rather seeing Her truths through new eyes."
Jolivette says, "If it suits Her fancy, Eorgina can at times be so mesmerizingly charming and gracious to those not directly in Her sphere of involvement that it is near impossible to believe how unspeakably cruel She can be to even Her most dedicated followers."
Jolivette says, "She understands when and how to use Her rage to Her advantage."
Jolivette says, "Her kindness is hard to say the least, though this is because She expects those who dare to serve Her to be strong, of great wisdom, and fit enough to handle whatever obstacles may come with the journey through Her Darkness."
Jolivette says, "Eorgina demands the utmost faith and dedication from Her followers as well as humble respect. There are severe consequences for those who would so much as think to question Her thoughts and demands."
Jolivette says, "It is all about Her, and woe to whomever would try to dispute that."
(Jolivette places a thin hand upon the grey altar and turns her eyes up towards the visage on the wall.)
Jolivette says, "Eorgina, a complex Goddess of immense power with vast intelligence and deceiving charms."
Jolivette says, "Master of the depths of Darkness, the art of Domination, and the timing of Tyranny, she is a strong force in Elanthia... no matter what walk of life you are from."
Jolivette says, "Thank you, that about sums it up."
Jolivette put a shifting black obsidian orb in her black tome case.
Naessi smiles.
Friendlly says, "do we get to comment"
Naessi stands up.
Naessi says, "After I'm done."
Naessi nods to Friendlly.
Iscikella says, "I believe Naessi will be speaking first."
Friendlly says, "oh"
Iscikella says, "Then discussion."
Iscikella nods.
Naessi chuckles.
Jolivette nods.
Jolivette bows.
Jolivette sits down.
Naessi says, "What I have to say is intended to compliment that which Jolivette has so eloquently brough forth."
Jolivette glances at Psionix.
Jolivette grins.
(Naessi moves to stand beside the grey altar, touching it briefly and reverently with a single finger.)
Naessi says, "For those of you gathered, stop a minute and think of Lornon, of Eorgina in particular. What comes to mind? Dark, wicked....."
(Naessi allows a slow smile to spread across her face.)
Naessi asks, "Evil, bad?"
Naessi says, "Surely all these assumption are true. After all, Eorgina is the mistress of Darkness, >Naessi asks, "But why do so many of you make sour faces at Her name? Why is it deemed socially unacceptable to follow such a Dark Goddess?"
Naessi says, "For those of you who fear or resent Lornon, I'm going to attempt to open your minds a bit regarding the Darkness of the arkati, Eorgina in particular."
(Naessi absentmindedly touches her Eorgina charm, threading the chain through her fingers as she speaks.)
Naessi says, "and for those of you already in touch with and accepting of your Darkness...."
Berkana nods to Marclar.
Naessi says, "Welcome home."
(Naessi begins to pace in front of the altar while she continues to speak, using her hands to gesture.)
Naessi asks, "Why revere Eorgina instead of fearing Her? Why embrace Her Darkness instead of running in the opposite direction?"
Naessi says, "First, and most simply, Eorgina is the Queen of the Gods. "
Naessi says, "As Koar is the most powerful male personality and thus the King, Eorgina is his match in intellect and power and therefore the Queen."
Naessi says, "No doubt many of you have heard the dissenting opinion, that Lumnis is the 'default' Queen of the Gods because of her long-ago marraige to Koar. But does a wedding vow a ruler make? I think not."
(Naessi stops pacing to stare briefly at each individula person gathered.)
Naessi says, "The simple fact is that Lumnis is not only ill-equipt to handle such a task, she doesn't want it. She has declined the title."
Naessi asks, "So I ask you, who is the more fitting Queen? One who is ready and willing for the task, or one who shies away from it?"
Naessi gazes heavenward.
Jolivette grins.
Naessi says, "This brings me back to my main point. As people revere Koar as the King of the Gods, Queen Eorgina should be so recognized."
Naessi says, "Many would vie to strip Eorgina of Her rightful title simply because she represents Darkness."
(Naessi raises her eyebrows questioningly at those present.)
Naessi says, "This attitude has created a distrubing trend in the Lands which can only be called peer pressure."
Naessi says, "People who have been inhabiting Elanthia for ages untold are attempting to direct the worship of younger ones who have just arrived, or even those that have been ambivalent about religion."
Naessi says, "You know who you are."
Naessi smiles softly.
Naessi says, "This is unacceptable simply because of the propaganda that is being fed to those that may not know any better. Instead of encouraging them to look within themselves and make a choice...."
Naessi says, "There are those that would steer many away from Eorgina and Lornon simply because they would have people believe that Lornonites live an undesireable lifestyle. Darkness is bad, they say...."
Naessi asks, "But is it not necessary?"
Jolivette appears to be trying hard not to grin.
Naessi says, "Do we not need Fash'lo'nae, in his eternal quest for knowledge? Is Onar not necessary? Even Ivas and Sheru have their places...."
Naessi says, "And without Lord Luukos all the Voln zealots would have no way to feel righteous and just."
(Naessi covers her mouth to supress a snicker.)
Naessi says, "And above them all, ruling them all and leading them all, is Queen Eorgina."
Naessi says, "Koar and Eorgina are not opposites, my dears, but two sides of the same coin. Destined to rule together."
Naessi says, "If Koar can handle it."
(Naessi resumes her pacing.)
Kadesha mutters delusions.
Naessi glances at Kadesha.
Naessi says, "Please keep your muttering to yourself, as I would give you the same respect when YOUR time comes."
(Naessi resumes her pacing.)
Naessi says, "People are behaving as a flock of wild rolton. Unfortunately, they are taking to heart the message that Lornon is unacceptable and will bring nothing but disaster."
Naessi says, "People that tout these messages are leaving out the real reasons Lornon has few followers. It's because not just anyone is fit to serve the Queen and Her panthenon."
Naessi says, "Eorgina does not accept weaklings. She seeks out the strong of character and the brave of soul."
Naessi says, "She seeks out others like myself and the members of the Grey Moon Circle, who are strong enough in their convictions not to be swayed by blinding light."
Naessi says, "Indeed, the light does blind as surely as if you are staring into the noontime sun."
Naessi says, "Those drawn to Lornon are intelligent and willing to take a risk.... and yearning to lead a life without limits."
Naessi says, "I ask those of you that are present this eve to look within yourselves."
Naessi asks, "What Darkness do you find? Are you willing to face what Eorgina can bring out from deep within you, or are you frightened?"
Naessi raises an eyebrow.
Naessi says, "Do NOT fear the Darkness within you. Nuture it and allow it to grow. Do not supress a gift from Lornon, from the Queen Herself."
Naessi says, "In this, you may be forced to ask some difficult questions of yourself. If your honest answers lead you back here, we will be waiting to open our ranks...."
Naessi smiles meaningfully at those seated.
Naessi says, "And welcome you home."
Naessi smiles softly.
Naessi says, "We will now open the floor for questions. If you wish to address a specific speaker, please do so."
Naessi says, "Aranrhod was first, I believe."
Naessi nods to Aranrhod.
Aranrhod asks, "I choose who I did because of the dark and light in myself...so I think we all have that...am I wrong?"
Aranrhod says, "And other reasons"
Naessi says, "Aranrhod, the point I was trying to make is not to fear the Darkness you know you have, and not to listen to those that would encourage you to supress it."
Naessi nods to Aranrhod.
Aranrhod says, "I do not fear the Darkness"
Naessi says, "Evil, in these Lands, seems to mean anything that goes against the general social acceptability level."
Jolivette chuckles.
Aranrhod says, "I do not equate evil to dark"
Aranrhod says, "But...go ahead"
Morgiest says, "But that is what evil is. That which goes against the culturaly acceptable norm."
Naessi says, "Then you are already halfway there."
Aranrhod says, "I am all the way there"
Naessi asks, "Are you that closed-minded, Morgiest?"
Naessi asks, "That you must follow the rest of the sheep?"
Morgiest asks, "Its not close minded at all. How else would you describe good an evil?"
Morgiest says, "Its a viewpoint, thats all."
You shrug.
Aranrhod says, "Morgiest...I have dark thoughts"
Naessi says, "Aye."
Angelrise glances at you.
Naessi says, "You should encourage them, they are a gift."
Naessi nods to Aranrhod.
Naessi asks, "Now, Friendlly?"
Aranrhod says, "But...I cannot say they are evil"
Friendlly asks, "isnt ironic that Koar sits about you even in the temples on high, and darkness and dominence are your spheres, but in all actuallity light always dominates darkness.. kinda makes you wonder how a self proclaimed queen can measure up, so how does she measure up to an all powerful Koar?"
Naessi glances at Friendlly.
Aranrhod says, "No...will not encourage"
Aranrhod clasps her hand over her mouth.
Naessi chuckles.
Jolivette raises an eyebrow.
Naessi says, "She measures just fine, Friendlly, for it is known that long ago Koar and Eorgina were great friends."
Naessi says, "In fact, Koar so respects Eorgina that he refuses to take sides when Eorgina and Lumnis have conflict."
Friendlly says, "aye and the ways of darkness take a different path"
Friendlly says, "heard that"
Iscikella says, "Uh, that was one conflict now."
Friendlly says, "but she is below Koar in all things"
Friendlly says, "without Koar she would not exist"
Naessi says, "Not so. Eorgina came to be from a great Drake, with or without the existence of Koar."
Iscikella says, "But then Koar might be a DRake himself. Some say yes and some no."
Friendlly says, "as Koar is the king of all good he must be the king of all evil"
Friendlly says, "and in that being he rules her too"
Angelrise says, "Aye, and how much simpler it would be if light did not exist at all."
Aranrhod says, "Room in our world for you...pity you do not see the same"
Aranrhod nods to Angelrise.
Friendlly says, "I take nothing away from your walk i just dont get that she can be so high "
Angelrise says, "Oh, I do. I don't mind the lack of simplicity, truly."
Angelrise says, "It's ever the more entertaining that way."
Naessi says, "I never said Koar would not exist without Eorgina."
Lewk says, "Naessi, if I may."
Friendlly says, "all things set aside Koar was here long before eorgina became a queen of darkness"
Kadesha says, "You said people either fear the darkness or are drawn to it.."
Kadesha says, "How about bein neither frightened nor drawn to darkness, but moral enuff to be repulsed by it. if havin a conscious makes me a sheep, well then, baaaaah"
Lewk asks, "where do you find peace and power, in the darkness or in the shadow or your queen?"
Morstanya says, "you know, it amazes me those of Lornon tend to pose introspections as if people do not know darkness. I was Dark before I was Light. That does happen you know."
Naessi says, "Lewk, I do not take power for myself."
Angelrise says, "shame, that."
Jolivette says, "I think we may need to stay with one argument at a time, I'm already practicing my selective hearing talent."
Aranrhod says, "A dwarf baaahing...this festival is worth it"
Iscikella says, "I think the Arkati's existence might be rather more dependent on the Drakes than other ARkati, but that is jus tmy opinion."
Naessi says, "Any power I gain, any triumph of mine, is channeled to the Queen."
Lewk asks, "but you feel it?"
Jolivette gazes into the flickering flame of a ruby-inset black wax candle, lost in thought.
Naessi nods to Iscikella.
Angelrise says, "I'm sorry you drifted from your intended path."
Naessi says, "I will agree with Iscikella there."
Kadesha says, "bah"
Kadesha winks at Aranrhod.
Aranrhod grins.
Naessi asks, "And to answer you question Lewk, where do I find peace?"
Morstanya says, "you might have a point, it could explain my propensity for strong drink and frivolity"
Morstanya winks at Angelrise.
Jolivette put an ancient priestess's staff in her black greatcloak.
Jolivette removes a ruby and onyx inlaid faenor chalice from in her black greatcloak.
Morstanya says, "then again, those things might be a virtue too"
Naessi says, "Within myself, secure in the knowledge I serve the True Queen."
Jolivette takes a drink from her inlaid faenor chalice.
Lewk asks, "if you live for her to stay alive then why not virtue?"
Morgiest asks, "So you would not describe attempting to forcefully control those who are weaker then yourself as evil? Either of ye?"
Jolivette says, "Evil is so overrated."
Naessi says, "if it serves a purpose, Morgiest. Then ends justify the means."
Jolivette rolls her eyes.
Naessi nods to Jolivette.
Jolivette says, "Evil is for others to define."
Grandevr says, "I got a question... *why* does Eorgina so badly desire to be a Queen... what does she have to contribute to Elanthia? An iron rule? Most Liabo-ians have an area which they nuture the various races understanding, such as Imaera with the plants, and Eonake with the forge"
Jolivette says, "Not for me to go around saying I'm evil this and evil that...that's ridiculous."
Naessi glances at Grandevr.
Naessi says, "Darkness is in all of us, as is a certain amount of Dominance, and Tyranny certainly exists in the Lands."
Grandevr says, "Well, she does attempt to vainly make it known Berkana"
Morstanya says, "why Grandevr, it's eternal strife she serves, one set of tyrants replaced by the next in revolt after revolt which she revels in"
Naessi asks, "Shouldn't the most powerful of the female arkati be rightfully joined with the most powerful of the Male? Shouldn't both halves be equally represented?"
Naessi cocks her head at Grandevr.
Berkana says, "Actually, She doesn't, her followers do."
Morgiest asks, "Tyrants? Dominations? Hardly sounds like a place yer average citizen would want to live under. And you wonder why the young run to the light?"
Morstanya says, "unless Im greatly mistaken, the overwhelming opinion is that mates are chosen for personal reasons"
Grandevr says, "Perhaps the Question ought to be does she deserve to be? Lumnis took the time to teach Wisdom and Insight to the races and foster that intelligence... obviously Koar was drawn to her for that"
Naessi says, "Mates and fellow leaders are two different things, Morstanya. I advocate Eorgina and Koar's fellow leader, not his bedmate."
Naessi snickers.
Naessi says, "Although they would have lovely children."
Naessi says, "If Lumnis wants to bear his bouncing brats that's fine, I doubt Eorgina would be so inclined."
Friendlly says, "I dont think it is a matter of does she desearve to be queen, it is too late for that. people proclaim her wueen and follow her and in their eyes she is queen, without her the circle of faiths would be broken and there would be no need to worship at all"
Aranrhod says, "One minute lovely children...next bouncing brats"
Aranrhod rubs her chin thoughtfully.
Aranrhod says, "Got it"
Morgiest says, "We dont need to speak against the dark, all us of the light need to do is repeat what they said here tonight, and our recruitment will go thru the roof."
Morstanya asks, "Naessi, remember something said in the lecture, about waiting, being pleasant until the time to strike is at hand ? Have you taken that truly to heart ?"
Naessi says, "More than you know, Morstanya."
Kadesha asks, "can you teach it to Sheka?"
Kadesha peers quizzically at Naessi.
Morstanya asks, "and you have demonstrated that this day, to your best reckoning ?"
Naessi begins chuckling at Kadesha.
Morstanya works her fingers under her velvet hooded cowl and scratches her head.
Lewk asks, "but without a sense of power, or peace by your own right, right?"
Guhl exclaims, "but Morgiest, the proposition, if I understand it it is that darkness is essential, what I don't fathom is what value it has--let the dwarves build lamps I say!"
Naessi asks, "Grandevr, to address your point, surely Lumnis was at one time interested in the lesser races. But is it not written that she has withdrawn? Or is she so exclusive she deals only wish Iscikella over here?"
Marclar asks, "ah but eventualy the light would fall without darkness by it's side nae Ghul?"
Aranrhod says, "She has come to me when I needed her...I was very fortunate"
Morgiest says, "I have seen Lumnis interact with a number of people."
Grandevr says, "Perhaps, but Eorgina still has contributed nothing to Elanthia, except to enslave artistically-inclined Elves and work them to their death to build her pompous estate"
Naessi asks, "It is good that Lumnis has shown herself to you, however, if she is Queen, why does she not claim the title?"
Grandevr asks, "That is something to be respected, no?"
Naessi cocks her head at Aranrhod.
Morgiest says, "Why? Why would light fall without darkness. Darkness is the absense of light, not the other way around."
Kadesha asks, "She is secure, perhaps, Naessi, and feels no need to prove herself?"
Iscikella says, "Perhaps because means less to her than to Eorgina. She doesn't need the pomp."
Aranrhod says, "She does not wish that position"
Morstanya says, "beyond that all recognize it, Koar has never claimed any title, he simply is foremost"
Aranrhod says, "From all I know of her"
Friendlly says, "because she does not let herself become close to darkness is no reason to upend Lumnis, she is just and desearving, "
Naessi says, "Grandevr, Eorgina has contributed legions to Elanthia by allowing us to nuture our dark halves in peace."
Naessi asks, "So, if Lumnis does not want to be Queen, then there should be no Queen? Are those of you that say this advocating NO female rulership?"
Naessi raises an eyebrow.
Naessi says, "Sure, let the men take over."
Naessi waves her hand in a dismissive gesture.
Marclar says, "but ye can nae have just all light...things nae work that way...eventualy an elf would break them dwarven lamps and then voila...ye have darkness"
Iscikella says, "I don't think maybe there is any royalty."
Kadesha asks, "so this is a man hating thing to serve Eorgina?"
Morgiest says, "Reluctant leaders, generally tend to be the best leaders. It is those who lust for the power of leadership, that typically make the worst of tyrants"
Naessi asks, "Then why does Koar accept HIS title?"
Morgiest says, "But, of course, Eorgina is the goddess of tyrany, so that is to be expected I guess."
Guhl asks, "a man hating thing, I mean?"
Iscikella asks, "Has he ever said so?"
Jolivette says, "I suppose the Lady Arkati need somethign to toss about for fun."
Naessi says, "I do not speak to Koar, but I do listen to those of his followers who revere him as such."
Iscikella says, "Mortals need hierarchies."
Iscikella says, "Whether gods do, I don't know."
Lewk asks, "Jolivette, does Eor ail'Giina hate men???"
Jolivette looks over at Lewk and shakes her head.
Naessi says, "Grandevr, you question the nurturing of Dark halves...."
Naessi asks, "But does Koar not stand for Justice?"
Naessi cocks her head at Grandevr.
Jolivette says, "That's a very common misconception."
Morstanya asks, "ya, she only hates her son in law, right ?"
Morstanya peers quizzically at Jolivette.
Naessi says, "Justice is not all good. At times it is cold, cruel even."
Jolivette says, "In fact, She took the time to state Her opinions about the growing consensus that She supposedly did."
Naessi says, "Justice, as in blind and oftentimes damaging."
Morstanya asks, "is that so ? and her opinion of men was what ?"
Morstanya peers quizzically at Jolivette.
Jolivette nods to Morstanya.
Jolivette says, "That is how Lord Azaer came to be a High Priest."
Naessi says, "I do not say Koar is evil. I say he understands the nature of Darkness and even buys into it."
Morstanya asks, "a token man eh ?"
Friendlly says, "of course she likes men,she rules over a goddess of seduction"
Jolivette chuckles.
Naessi says, "He is a bit of a politician."
Friendlly says, "if her goddess of seduction is good enough for her then the menmust be"
Aranrhod asks, "And you think Lumnis does not understand that also?"
Naessi says, "I do not view Lumnis as a negative Arkati, Aranrhod. I just don't believe she is fit for Queen."
Morgiest asks, "You now claim Koar serves the dark as well as the light?"
Naessi says, "I claim that Koar knows the positives of both sides."
Angelrise says, "Evil is a preconcieved notion that is only applicable to the individual."
Aranrhod says, "Alright...fair enough for now"
Naessi says, "He is wise."
Friendlly says, "i clain that Koar governs both the dark and the light"
Jolivette says, "We all relate to certain things in our own way.. each has a path that they identify with."
Morstanya says, "actually Morgiest, there is some significance to the claim that Koar is of both light and dark"
Guhl asks, "well, maybe, but ya can't see anything, what's the sens in that?"
Jolivette says, "That's awful shallow."
Sedith says, "Darkness? What about darkness?! All I have learned tonight, is that darkness flees at the sight of light." He turns and points to Naessi, "I don't care who you worship, fanatic or not. Let us worship our Queen and you can worship yours. We can have this conversation again after the day of reckoning I've been hearing so much about."
Naessi says, "She could take out Liabo with a single swipe if She so desired, Kadesha, but she understands they have their uses as well."
Jolivette says, "All you have to do it take note of this damned candle here."
Naessi says, "I suggest you take some time to read the literature on the relationship between Koar and Eorgina, Friendlly."
Friendlly says, "oh I have"
Friendlly says, "I have read for hours"
Naessi says, "Right, Friendlly. Let the men take over, Friendlly says again."
Friendlly says, "has nothing to do with men taking over"
Jolivette says, "It's not even a men versus women issue though."
Marclar says, "aye...which is why She and Koar should rule together...the best of light...the best of darkness"
Friendlly says, "has to do with he is the allhigh"
Friendlly says, "and she isnt"
Friendlly says, "she can never get over second best"
Naessi says, "Not versus, Jolivette, but equal."
Friendlly says, "and I doubt she is that even"
Kadesha says, "listenin to all this propaganda makes me need a drink"
Iscikella recites:

"Remember, folks, everyone has an opinion and is welcome to air it. Just remember to keep it civil."

Morgiest says, "Actually, i think she is rather close to what Jolivette described her as. Vain, powerhungry..."
Jolivette says, "She is all of that and more.. just realize she is multi-dimensional."
Naessi says, "Honest with Herself, at least, Morgiest. Doesn't care if everyone will hate her for it."
Naessi says, "And if you view being power-hungry as horrible, perhaps you should attempt to delve further into the issues."
Grandevr grins at Friendlly.
Berkana says, "Everything is subjective, apparently. Lornon and Liabo alike."
Jolivette says, "That was my point.. people don't take the time to look underneath.. at what makes Her and all of the Arkati tick.. or people in general for that matter."
Morgiest asks, "Then why do you care? Did you not spend alot of your time in your lecture bemoanin how the light is "swayin" people away from her?"
Naessi says, "Morgiest, I detest the fact that young ones, especially, are made to believe that Lornon is evil in all ways, and offers no benefits."
Naessi says, "Older folks in these Lands make no attempts at giving someone all the information and letting them make a choice."
Jolivette says, "I said she was vain and power-hungry."
Morgiest asks, "But you just said yourself that your own god doesnt care, arent you goin against what your own gods deems pointless by sayin just that?"
Morstanya says, "I tell people they can do the wrong thing or the right, Im completely open about it"
Morstanya smiles at Naessi.
Ilvane says, "It's not my place to tell people who to worship, but I would try to convince them that the light is more beneficial for your soul."
Naessi says, "I believe I did say SOME."
Kadesha asks, "Naessi when you teach the young of the Arkati to you teach them about all of them? or do you teach about Eorgina?"
Naessi says, "Actually, I have taken more than a dozen young ones on a tour of the entire temple, telling them of my affiliation only if they ask."
Naessi nods to Kadesha.
Naessi says, "As I said, all the information."
Ilvane says, "If you listen to one person, who is a worshipper of one god of the dark, and one of the light..you could take the same story with two very different perception."
Iscikella recites:

"Ladies and gentlemen, this panel is officially closed, those please continue discussing if ye wish."
