The lecture on Kai by Lord Morgiest
Written and edited by Morgiest Frostgiant
Pan Arkati Festival in Icemule, month of Koaratos, 5102
Iscikella recites:
"This is the lecture on Kai."
Iscikella recites:
"Our speaker this evening is Morgiest"
Iscikella recites:
"Please be seated and give him yer attention."
Tierus smiles brightly at Morgiest.
Morgiest takes off some heavy vultite spiked gauntlets.
Morgiest fiddles with the top of the steel mesh sack, causing the metal plates to open.
Tierus says, "Tankyas fer comin' tae our li'l Festival."
Iscikella recites:
"Remember, do keep fidgeting to a minimum."
Tierus nods to Morgiest.
Morgiest smiles and nods to Tierus.
Morgiest put some heavy vultite spiked gauntlets in his steel mesh sack.
Morgiest fiddles with the top of the steel mesh sack, causing the metal plates to snap closed.
Iscikella recites:
"No spell-casting."
Morgiest with a practiced twist of his wrist, snaps open the buckles holding on his sallet.
Morgiest takes an icy-blue visored vultite sallet lined with white wolf hide off his head.
Morgiest put an icy-blue visored vultite sallet lined with white wolf hide in his polar bear hide greatcloak.
Iscikella recites:
"And do wait until he has finished his lecture and opened the floor for discussion to question or comment."
Morgiest smiles.
Morgiest bows.
Iscikella nods to Morgiest.
Iscikella sits down.
Morgiest checks his footing.
Morgiest says, "Hail friends, allow me tae introduce meself."
Morgiest says, "Ahm Morgiest Frostgiant, Lord Paladin of Daingneach Onoir. Ah hae been a dedicated follower a Lord Kai fer as long as ah kin recall."
Morgiest says, "Tonight, ah hae been asked tae speak on Lord Kai, at this here Pan-Arkati festival. "
Morgiest says, "That comes rather easy fer me, as most folks likely would prefer ah nae speak on me Lord Kai as much as ah do."
Morgiest winks and flashes a sly grin.
Morgiest says, "Ah would like tae take a moment and thank our hosts, Lord Tierus, and Lady Iscikella fer invitin me tae do so, and providin such a grand venue tae do so in."
Morgiest bows to Tierus.
Tierus bows.
Morgiest bows to Iscikella.
Morgiest says, "Ah shall speak in three main parts tonight, and then hae an open question and answer session at the end. Ah invite comments in between each part, but ask that ye refrain from askin questions till after all is said and done."
Iscikella smiles at Morgiest.
Morgiest says, "After ah hae finished with the third part, we kin spend the rest a the time we hae fer this panel discussion talkin fer as long as ye all wish tae on me Lord Kai. "
Morgiest says, "Ah thank ye in advance fer the courtesy ah know ye shall all show tae the others gathered here this eve."
Morgiest bows.
Morgiest says, "Durin the first part a me lecture ah shall speak on what ah consider the general common knowledge a me Lord Kai. This will be information most folks kin find in any good library bout the lands."
Morgiest says, "Durin the second part ah shall speak about the some rather uncommon knowledge bout M'Lord Kai."
Morgiest says, "And durin the third part, ah shall speak about the talismans of M'Lord Kai, as they are the essence of what it is tae be a dedicated follower of Kai."
Morgiest recites:
"Lord Kai is known as the master of Battle."
Morgiest recites:
"He is a greater diety of the pantheon of Liabo."
Morgiest recites:
"His portfolio includes Strength, Athletic prowess, and Skill at Arms."
Morgiest recites:
"He has been beaten in combat only once in his life.
By Lord Koar, king of the arkati."
Morgiest recites:
"He has been fought to a standstill once, by Lord V'Tull, of Lornon."
Morgiest recites:
"Beyond these two instances, any oppenent who has faced Kai, has fallen before him."
Morgiest recites:
"Legend holds that durin the Ur-daemon war, Kai slew more of the enemy, then any drake did.
Despite the fearsome skill of the drakes."
Morgiest recites:
"Lord Kai is also the ONLY Arkati known to have actively participated in that great war, and survived."
Morgiest recites:
"His joy of physical combat is such that only Koars injunctions keep him from constant battle with the arkati of Lornon."
Morgiest recites:
"As an alternative, and tae sate his appetite fer physical tests he often roams Elanthia looking fer unsuspecting mortals tae join with in physical contests o' one sort or another. "
Morgiest recites:
"He can frquently be found in his shrine outside of the landing, using his skill in tests of physical prowess for the benefit of Lord Voln."
Morgiest recites:
"He also has been known in the distant past to attend tournaments sponsored by various dukes, emperors, knights and houses. Most notably by the Elven house Ta'Aredenai."
Morgiest recites:
"His blessing is often invoked at contests of physical prowess. "
Morgiest recites:
"His preferred humanoid manifestation is that of a young man of epic build with strong and carefree features. Kai is almost always dressed in light armor and is never without a weapon of some sort. In manner, he is carefree, brave and aggressive."
Morgiest recites:
"His symbol is a clenched silver fist, on a field of Crimson."
Morgiest recites:
"His priests typically name thier maces "Fists of Kai" and they are forged in the shape of a clenched fist."
Morgiest recites:
"That concludes the first part a me presentaion, next we shall learn mer of Kai, and some a the things he hae been reported a doin."
Morgiest asks, "Did anyun hae any comments tae this point?"
Morgiest nods.
Morgiest says, "Very well. We shall forge ahead then."
Morgiest recites:
"Lord Kai had one known daughter. Her name was Leya."
Morgiest recites:
"Lady Danay spoke fully on Lady Leya last evenin, so ah shall keep me comments on her brief."
Morgiest recites:
"Lady Leya was the offspring of Lord Kai, and Lady Leirya. Lady Leirya was the only child, of an ancient and noble family of the elven house Ta'Ardenai."
Morgiest recites:
"Lady Leirya died shortly after givin birth to Leya. Despite heroic efforts by Kai to save her."
Morgiest recites:
"It is said his cry of sorrow at the passing of his wife, robbed all the birds of the realm of song for a number of weeks after this sad event."
Morgiest recites:
"Ah will nae go further intae the life of Leya, fer that is another story, fer another time."
Morgiest recites:
"Suffice it tae say, that Leya herself was nae immortal as the Arkati are, and she, after who knows how many centuries, er perhaps millinium, herself passed beyond the veil. "
Morgiest recites:
"None know her fate fer certain though."
Morgiest recites:
"This all occured durin the second age, thousands of years agone now. When the Arkati, at least those of Liabo, still frequently walked the lands of Elanthia."
Morgiest recites:
"Another not so common bit of knowledge, is that Lord Kai himself buried an orb he created, somewhere in the vicinity of Icemule."
Morgiest recites:
"This is a story I found one day, when Lady Iscikella graciously allowed me tae peruse her library some years back."
Morgiest recites:
"This orb, now known as Kai's orb, Kai created to house the knowledge he had gained from combating the Ur-daemons."
Morgiest smiles at Iscikella.
Morgiest recites:
"He created this orb, so that this knowldge, if ever needed again, could be found."
Morgiest recites:
"Kai buried this orb in the ice of what then was a remote glacier."
Morgiest recites:
"Little did Kai know at the time, that the town of Old Icemule trace, would be built over where he had buried the orb. Who the people were that built old Icemule Trace are lost to time."
Morgiest recites:
"What is known, is that the workers of this town found the orb one day, while performin construction of one type er another."
Morgiest recites:
"Fash'no'lae, and Eorgina heard of this find, and promptly went tae claim it fer themselves."
Morgiest recites:
"But alas, Kai in his wisdom had imbued the orb in such a way that only a warrior could hold it."
Morgiest recites:
"Marlu then arrived on the scene. He bein also known as a warrior, attempted tae grab it. But, Kai had one more suprise fer those a Lornon, as not only did it require a warrior, but a warrior "Pure of Heart." Which Marlu, a course, was nae."
Morgiest recites:
"In his rage at bein denied the orb, Marlu leveled the old town a Icemule Trace. Utterly destroyin everything in sight, and slayin every livin thing within miles."
Morgiest recites:
"Durin his rampage, the orb was again covered in Ice, and tae this day still rests somewhere in the area."
Morgiest recites:
"Here ends parts two a me lecture this evening. Next we shall proceed on tae the talismans a Kai."
Morgiest asks, "Does anyun hae any comments tae this point?"
Morgiest says, "Alright, then we shall now talk bout what it really means tae serve M'Lord Kai."
Morgiest recites:
"Ah will now talk about the Talismans of Kai."
Morgiest recites:
"These talismans, are the very heart a what it means tae be a follower a Kai."
Morgiest recites:
"First a little of thier history."
Morgiest recites:
"The shrine tae Kai that resides outside a the Landing, is extremely old."
Morgiest recites:
"It hae existed long before the town itself."
Morgiest recites:
"There are several ancient tomes that speak on the "Paladins of Kai". "
Morgiest recites:
"But these are mostly merchant records that record such odd entiries as "The Paladins of Kai came tae our aid, when under attack by a group a orcs." Or other such mundane things."
Morgiest recites:
"Nowhere in any tome, are any names given tae these heroes a old."
Morgiest recites:
"They were knights, who were followers of Kai. That much we do know."
Morgiest recites:
"They apparently served as protectors for all who traveled in the area."
Morgiest recites:
"The tomes do nae mention what race these knights were. Many suspect they were human. But, there are a number a other theories that say they were elven, er giantkin, er possibly even composed of many races."
Morgiest recites:
"What thier numbers were is also nae known."
Morgiest recites:
"They are known to have served in this area, for at least 200 years. The last report o a true Paladin a Kai in this group of his followers, occured some 300 years ago."
Morgiest recites:
"No-one has ever been able tae explain thier dissapearance, and the only written record that survives of them directly, are what are now known as the Talismans of Kai."
Morgiest recites:
"These paladins a Kai, erected the small shrine that now is outside of the Landin."
Morgiest recites:
"Lord Kai himself is said tae hae created the talismans, as a reward for the dedication these knights showed, tae the codes he holds dear."
Morgiest recites:
"Now that ah hae given ye all a brief hisory of the talismans, ah shall proceed tae the meat a the subject. "
Morgiest checks his footing.
Morgiest recites:
"There are Eight Talismans a Kai. "
Morgiest recites:
"They are titled, Honor, Valor, Faith, Hope, Friendship, Despair, Strength, And Defeat."
Morgiest recites:
"We shall start with "Honor"."
Morgiest recites:
"Without honor in his heart, the mightiest of warriors is but a mewling kitten when the world stands at the brink of disaster."
Morgiest recites:
"Honor, above all, do we cherish. It is the glue that binds mortals to one another. Without it we are merely frightened voices crying out in the darkness."
Morgiest recites:
"This talisman is simple, and straightforward. Honor both personal, and group honor, means everything tae us."
Morgiest recites:
"Tae be an honorable person is not just tae do the right thing, nor simply tae give moral considerations a central place in our lives. "
Morgiest recites:
"It is also tae want tae be known and trusted by others, especially by other honorable people, as this sort of person. "
Morgiest recites:
"And honorable people will go tae great lengths tae maintain these bonds a trust or tae re-establish them when they are broken."
Morgiest asks, "Any comments on Honor?"
Friendlly raises his hand.
Morgiest nods to Friendlly.
Friendlly says, "I dont know if anyof you know the great warrior Gaq"
Morgiest says, "Aye. Ah do."
Friendlly says, "but he told me a legend of Koar and his epic battle with Kai"
Friendlly says, "that in losing the battle kai actually won for he had honor in defeat"
Friendlly says, "thus he never lost the battle and remains the true god of war"
Friendlly says, "that all"
Morgiest says, "A physical contest with Koar, would indeed bring great honor tae the one willin tae stand against the king a the gods."
Morgiest says, "Allright, we shall continue on."
Morgiest recites:
"Next comes "Valor"."
Morgiest recites:
"Ours is not an easy path to follow, yet we follow willingly, for in truth we did not choose this road so much as the road chose us."
Morgiest recites:
"We are the Sons and Daughters of Kai, and no mortal soul shall despair of life in our presence. We are the champions of the innocent, the protectors of the weak, the gladiators of your heart."
Morgiest recites:
"This one as well is pretty straight forward."
Morgiest recites:
"Essentially, this means followers of Kai never leave thier dead on the field of battle."
Morgiest recites:
"We will go tae extreme measures tae recover the body a fallen comrades, friends, and even occasionally valiant enemies."
Morgiest recites:
"It also means, we never show fear tae our enemies, and will gladly face any peril, that we deem required tae meet the goals we hae set fer ourselves."
Morgiest asks, "Are there any comments on Valor?"
Nofret raises her hand.
Morgiest nods to Nofret.
Nofret asks, "Why not show fear? I can understand facing any peril and meeting your own goals, but why not show fear and then go on and do the valorous thing anyway?"
Morgiest says, "Fear is a tool, to be used like any other tool. While we may indeed have fear, we do nae show it."
Turinrond raises his hand.
Lnikon raises his hand.
Morgiest nods to Lnikon.
Lnikon asks, "What shall we exepect of out enemies in battle?"
Morgiest says, "Expect the worse, and ye shall never be dissapointed. Ah heard some scholar say one day long agone.."
Morgiest chuckles.
Lnikon smiles at Morgiest.
Morgiest says, "But, it truely depends on yer enemy."
Lnikon nods to Morgiest.
Morgiest says, "Not all of Lornon lack Honor, in battle. Thier motives ah may question of course..."
Morgiest shrugs.
Morgiest recites:
"The third talisman is "Faith"."
Morgiest recites:
"Purity of spirit cannot be measured by mortals, for that which they behold is truly only what their minds allow them to comprehend."
Morgiest recites:
"We are firm in our resolve, and do not fret over the judgements of those who cannot fathom worlds beyond this. "
Morgiest recites:
"Souls cannot be placed into boxes and marked with labels for the world to see. Only he who possesses the spirit within himself shall ever know the truth."
Morgiest recites:
"This talisman is one that is commonly missunderstood."
Morgiest recites:
"Most think it means have faith in Kai."
Morgiest recites:
"When in fact it urges us tae have faith in ourselves."
Morgiest recites:
"Fer only when we have faith in ourselves, will we be prepared tae meet the challenges this world will throw at us."
Morgiest asks, "My pardons M'Lady, ah thought ye decided ye did nae have a comment after all. Did ye hae one on Valor?"
Morgiest smiles at Sylviana.
Sylviana shakes her head.
Sylviana smiles.
Morgiest nods to Sylviana.
Morgiest asks, "Does anyun hae any comments on Faith?"
Morgiest says, "Very well, we shall continue"
Morgiest checks his footing.
Morgiest recites:
"The fourth talisman is "Hope""
Iscikella smiles at Morgiest.
Morgiest recites:
"If we are allowed to take one treasure from this place, it is hope."
Morgiest recites:
"We may rail against the present when the world seems to mock us, but our hearts will always beat so long as hope graces each breath."
Morgiest recites:
"Defeat, sorrow, despair, these are but milestones by which to measure our lives."
Morgiest recites:
"One flicker of light burning at the end of a dark road shall guide us through even the darkest of times."
Morgiest recites:
"We are the Daughters and Sons of Kai, and we shall not waver."
Morgiest recites:
"This Talisman enjoins us tae always remeber that so long as we still draw breath on this world, there is hope."
Morgiest recites:
"A somewhat simple statement on the face of it, but profound none-the-less."
Morgiest says, "Any comments on hope? Remeber, we shall hae a long question and answer session after we all done."
Achillea raises her hand.
Morgiest nods to Achillea.
Achillea says, "was too slow, its on faith"
Morgiest says, "Of course, by all means."
Achillea says, "Ye say that faith cannot be measured by mortals, and it is something the possessor knows within themselves.."
Achillea says, "I just wonder why it is that those who have faith in Lornon are always told that it's delusion, or false."
Morgiest says, "Thats is nae somethin ah say.... That is the teachin a the talismans, but it is somethin ah believe aye.."
Achillea says, "you say you cannot assess another's faith, so uh, be nice if ya didn't keep trying to"
Morgiest chuckles.
(Tanager says, quietly, "Faith in anything, may be genuine. Whether the object of faith is deserving... is another matter.")
Morgiest says, "I do not assess faith, I assess actions."
Morgiest smiles at Achillea.
Achillea says, "that is all"
Morgiest says, "Ye are correct Achillea, and Lady Tanager also spoke correctly. Your faith ah do nae doubt."
Morgiest asks, "Did anyun else hae a comment tae this point?"
Morgiest recites:
"The fifth Talisman is "Friendship""
Morgiest recites:
"The passage of time cannot fade the memories of those who have travelled at our sides."
Morgiest recites:
"Engraved on our hearts are the names of comrades, friends, brothers, sisters, mates, with whom we have shared our lives."
Morgiest recites:
"Morgiest shall never die, for his soul has touched countless others in its quiet journey through this world."
Morgiest recites:
"Oddly, fer an Arkati who is typically viewed tae be disdainful a majic at best, this talisman in particular seems imbued with a strange majic."
Morgiest recites:
"Fer the name a the reader a the talismans, always appears on it. Nae matter who that is."
Morgiest recites:
"This talisman is likely the easiest tae understand."
Morgiest asks, "Are there any comments on Friendship?"
Morgiest says, "Very well, on to the next."
Morgiest recites:
"The sixth talisman is "Despair""
Morgiest recites:
"Despair is our constant companion, sorrow our shadow, as we walk these mortal plains in search of truth."
Morgiest recites:
"Our packs are heavy, but our bodies are strong, and we welcome these burdens, for they serve to strengthen our resolve. "
Morgiest recites:
"Only the strongest shall persevere in this quest, and so we, the Children of Kai, embrace the burdens which others cannot endure."
Morgiest recites:
"This talisman makes clear the point that Kai, the god of strength, looks for followers to have strenth of mind, and soul, as much as body."
Morgiest asks, "Are there any comments on this talisman?"
Lnikon raises his hand.
Morgiest nods to Lnikon.
Lnikon asks, "You say we should embrace the burdens what do you mean by that what shall we do with the embracement of burdens?"
Lnikon beams!
Morgiest says, "We must have strength of heart."
Lnikon nods.
Friendlly says, "if you embrace the hardships in life and hold them true they become less of a burden and you can control them"
Morgiest says, "We must be willin tae do, those actions that our mind tells us we cannot do."
Tanager says, "Easier said than done... for obvious reasons."
Morgiest says, "Certainly. Very much easier said then done. No-one ever said the road Kai leads us on was easy."
(Tanager chuckles softly.)
Tanager says, "Fair enough."
Morgiest says, "Any more comments? Almost done now..."
Nofret says, "Seems whatever god you follow, there is no easy road."
Morgiest recites:
"The seventh talisman is "Strength""
Morgiest recites:
"All the lightning and thunder of the heavens cast from the palm of a wizard can never equal the poetry of a beautiful blade in the hands of a skilled swordsman."
Morgiest recites:
"Magic may be the lifeblood of these lands, but it shall never replace the glory of magnificent bodies sculpted into the finest weapons ever known."
Morgiest recites:
"This Talisman reinforces the fact that Kai is the god of Athletic ability, and skill at arms."
Morgiest recites:
"Is is also the source that reinforces his, and his followers, disdain fer majic."
Morgiest asks, "Does anyone have a comment on strength?"
Tjaran nods to Morgiest.
Morgiest nods to Tjaran.
Morgiest asks, "Ye had a comment M'Lord?"
Morgiest smiles at Tjaran.
Tjaran asks, "You say that the followers of Kai turn away from magic in favor of the blade. What about the magics that enhance and improve the ability with the blade? Is this looked down upon for not having using your stregnth alone?"
Tjaran nods to Lnikon.
Lnikon nods to Tjaran.
Morgiest says, "Majic is a tool. And just as a weapon can be used, so can majic."
Morgiest says, "Disdain of majic does not mean we never use it, for Kai himself has made use of majic."
Morgiest says, "We simply appreciate the art of a weapon, when wielded by a master of the art."
Achillea asks, "means they mock casters while sending for spells?"
Achillea clasps her hand over her mouth.
Taygon laughs!
Morgiest begins chuckling at Achillea.
Morgiest says, "If you believe that priestess, you do not understand what I just said."
Morgiest chuckles.
Morgiest nods to Taygon.
Morgiest recites:
"The eighth, and final talisman of Kai, is "Defeat""
Morgiest recites:
"Defeat cannot be measured by blood spilled on the battlefield, nor by an empty purse."
Morgiest recites:
"To know the pain of loss is to prepare oneself for the joy of victory."
Morgiest recites:
"We cherish our failures as much as our successes, for the bitter taste of defeat only makes triumph that much sweeter."
Morgiest recites:
"This talisman speaks tae us on many levels."
Morgiest recites:
"Primarily it enjoins us tae always remember our defeats, both on the battlefield, and in life itself."
Morgiest recites:
"For when victory is ours, it makes it that much sweeter."
Morgiest recites:
"This concludes my lecture on Kai this evenin."
Morgiest recites:
"Ah hope ye all enjoyed this warriors presentation, and interpretaion, of Kai, and his teachins."
Morgiest recites:
"Ah shall now do me best tae answer whatever questions ye all may have bout Kai."
Morgiest says, "Ifin ye kind folks will simply raise yer hands, ah will answer as many a yer questions as time allows."
Lnikon raises his hand.
Morgiest nods to Lnikon.
Lnikon says, "You tell us how we should accept Defeat, How shall we accept winning"
Morgiest asks, "I do nae believe I understand the question. Do ye mean how should we act when we achieve our goals?"
Morgiest scratches his head.
Lnikon shrugs.
Lnikon nods.
Lnikon says, "Yes i do mean that"
Morgiest says, "With grace, and courtesy, as honor demands of us. We do nae stand o'er our enemy, and revel in thier defeat. We lament the fact that we need tae join with them in battle, on the field of honor, in the first place."
Lnikon nods.
Taygon says, "Lnikon... without defeat you will never really understand what it is like to win... all your battles might come easy but that doesn't make you strong on heart or courage, what makes you strong is how after the defeat you go about living your life."
Friendlly says, "oh I dont know after ya been boiled by a wight 30 times ya kinda stand over them after they have fallen and say there"
Morgiest asks, ""And, ah believe ah may hae missed a raised hand earlier... Taygon? Did ye hae a comment earlier ah missed mayhap?"
Taygon smiles.
Taygon says, "Thank Morgiest... however my question was answered."
Morgiest nods to Taygon.
Morgiest asks, "Lady Matti? Ye had a question?"
Matti asks, "How did you come to follow Kai? Was there some event, or perhaps he just made sense to you?"
Matti smiles at Morgiest.
Morgiest scratches his head.
Morgiest says, "Well, ahm one whom believes that people who follow Kai, are born tae it. That is why ye see so few converts from other faiths, tae Kai."
Matti says, "Thank you"
Matti winks at Raliver.
Morgiest says, "So, fer me, I had always felt somethin was missin, until the day ah was shown those talismans, ah jes finished tellin ye all about."
Morgiest asks, "Did anyun else hae any questions this evenin?"
Lnikon raises his hand.
Morgiest nods to Lnikon.
Lnikon asks, "What weapon of choice does Kai have, If any?"
Morgiest says, "Kai at one time carried the blade Soulingen."
Morgiest says, "But, he does not carry any specific weapon now."
Lnikon says, "Sorry, but I really meant for his children"
Morgiest says, "Well, his priests are fond of maces."
Morgiest says, "They name them the "Fists of Kai""
Matti raises her hand.
Morgiest says, "But, other then that, ye will find his followers us any weapon ye kin think of."
Morgiest asks, "That answer ye question?"
Lnikon says, "Yes"
Morgiest nods to Lnikon.
Morgiest asks, "Lady Matti?"
Matti asks, "Is there a mystery about Kai that perhaps even you do not know the answer to?"
Morgiest says, "I am certain of it."
Iscikella grins at Morgiest.
Matti glances at Morgiest.
Nofret asks, "Please elaborate?"
Matti asks, "do you ponder on anything in particular about Kai?"
Morgiest says, "There are many mysteries of Kai, that ah would like the answer tae..."
Morgiest asks, "Why an elf fer his wife?"
Morgiest scratches his head.
Raliver chuckles.
Iscikella begins chuckling at Morgiest.
Nalideth says, "Should have been a dwarf."
Turinrond just nudged Morgiest.
Thaleles gazes heavenward.
Iscikella asks, "Why not?"
Iscikella winks at Morgiest.
Achillea chuckles.
Nalideth nods to Morgiest.
Spaewife grins.
Morgiest asks, "Well. Its not a why, as in he made a bad choice, but just a why?"
Friendlly says, "even a great warrior can not pick whom he falls in love with"
Morgiest asks, "Why not a human? Or a giantkin? Or a dwarf?"
Morgiest shrugs.
Atlanteax says, "dwarf"
Atlanteax shudders.
Matti says, "Love is a mystery for sure"
Thaleles asks, "He had good taste?"
Nalideth exclaims, "What about em!"
Turinrond asks, "It's not obvious to ye?"
Turinrond cocks his head at Morgiest.
Turinrond grins slowly.
Nalideth mumbles something that you don't quite catch.
Nalideth mutters something about humans.
Morgiest says, "Of course, he felt like me, and I would ask why git married in the first place.."
Morgiest coughs.
Morgiest whistles tunelessly to himself.
Morgiest says, "But yes, of course, there are many things ah do nae know of Kai, and would like tae ask him."
Morgiest asks, "Why put his knowledge in a orb?"
Iscikella nods to Morgiest.
Iscikella says, "Like to know that too."
Morgiest nods to Iscikella.
Morgiest asks, "Why does he not do more to aid us directly in the battles with face now against the alliance?"
Morgiest shrugs.
Morgiest says, "There are many as i said."
Morgiest asks, "Did anyun else hae any questions?"
Raliver says, "m'lord, I 'ad a question if'n ye 'ave time"
Morgiest says, "Of course."
Raliver asks, "Is there any signifigance in the colors of 'is symbol, silver on crimson?"
Nalideth hugs her knees and sways side to side.
Morgiest says, "None that ahm aware of. Ahm sure that an actual priest of Kai, may place some symbolance on them. Ah would say red signifies strength."
Morgiest says, "And silver purity of spirit."
Raliver nods.
Morgiest says, "But, that would be an uninformed opinion."
Raliver nods.
Raliver raises his hand.
Morgiest nods to Raliver.
Raliver asks, "Can ye find any weakness in Kai?"
Morgiest asks, "Hrm. Weakness?"
Raliver says, "a flaw or somethin"
Morgiest says, "Ah would nae be one who would dare tae speculate on any Arkati's weakness."
Morgiest chuckles.
Raliver grins.
Morgiest says, "Kai, er otherwise."
Raliver nods.
Thaleles raises his hand.
Raliver says, "I nae sayin there is one, jes wondered if in yer extensive study ye may 'ave found one"
Raliver chuckles.
Morgiest says, "There are of course weaknesses in his folowers."
Raliver nods.
Morgiest says, "But, we are simply mortals."
Morgiest shrugs.
Morgiest asks, "Did anyun else hae any questions fer me? Er anyun else bout Kai tonight?"
Thaleles raises his hand.
Morgiest nods to Thaleles.
Thaleles asks, "What, then, do you believe is his greatest strength?"
Morgiest says, "His honor. And the fact that he attempts, tae the best a his ability, tae spread it thru the realms. Without question that is his greatest strength."
Thaleles nods.
Thaleles asks, "I take it that is the facet you most admire?"
Morgiest nods to Thaleles.
Morgiest says, "Yes, it is."
Morgiest says, "Honor means everything, tae any true follower a Kai. Without it, we are simply a brigand, er worse."
Morgiest asks, "Did anyun else wish tae hae a go at a question this evenin?"
Morgiest says, "Alright, then ah will close with one last thing..."
Morgiest recites:
"We are the warriors of Kai.
Strong and true.
We love the sound of battle,
Through and through."
Morgiest's entire body tenses as he clenches his fist.
Morgiest recites:
"First into combat,
