Muted lighting from small barred windows inside the tavern adds ambience and illumination to the bottles stored behind a brass-trimmed felwood bar and a triple-tiered brass serving cart that sits nearby in one corner. Waitresses pass sets of plush high-backed chairs placed around small round tables scattered throughout the room, as they carry trays of food and drinks back and forth through the teakwood swinging doors that lead to the kitchen. You also see a yellow-eyed forest wolfhound, a brass-trimmed felwood-framed red and black checkered dart board and a teakwood archway.

Now back to the event:

You exclaim, "Hokee!"

You ask, "Less git this started. Guardian Denissa, be ye ready?"

Denissa nods.

You say, "Methanks tae Denissa fer her patience waitin tae do this."

You say, "Kai gives strength tae all professions."

You say, "And it is now Denissa's turn tae tell us how empaths display it."

You nod at Denissa.

Denissa gazes in wonder at her surroundings.

Denissa softly says, "I nae sees new faces, all knows me.. so lets get started with some basic empath stuff."

"There are three lifestyles of an empath

"All three lifestyles are important, and serves a purpose."

"These lifestyles are not cut and dry, but merge and overlap from time to time."

"It is how you train, and roleplay your style will determine what you fall under."

"All empaths receive the TRANSFER ability, allowing them to take wounds from others onto themselves."

"An Empath can only take the wounds in which they can themselves heal."

Denissa recites softly:

"As long as an Empath has trained in the proper spells, by level 18, an empath can heal every type of injury, excluding scars."

"Once they have learned the appropriate healing spells, they can also use the CURE ability to target specific injuries on themselves."

"Its a bit quicker to get a targeted area heal, instead of prep the correct spell, once just cures left hand or cure for blood restore"

"At level 25, empaths can learn the group spell Troll's Blood (1125), which heals blood loss and minor wounds for free over time. This spell can be evoked and only target the empath. This spell is very handy to help the empath keep a hunting party healed up. However, if the empath isn't trained in lore transference fifty times, with the ability of transferring scars, the hunting party can be left with scars and some nae like troll blood for this reason."

Denissa recites softly:

"Mental Lore, Transformation increases the base amount of health regenerated each time the effect triggers by +1 at 3 ranks of lore, with a maximum of a +17 addition at 187 ranks. At max lore training for the spell the caster is able to regenerate +23 health every time the effect triggers."

Denissa recites softly:

"Spiritual Lore, Blessings provides for a chance for a scar to be healed when a rank 1 wound is healed down with Troll's Blood. The chance is based upon the area and severity of the scar and can be broken down into 12 tiers. Each tier requires 10 additional lore ranks than the previous tier to unlock, and the chance of success is 20% + 0.5% per rank above the required tier. Blessings Lore no longer lowers the time between pulses of the spell."

"At level 50, empaths can learn the spell Regeneration (1150), a once-per-day ability that fully heals all injuries instantly, then re Training in Manipulation Lore will increase the amount of protection against critical attacks."

"Training in Transformation Lore allows the empath to cast the spell additional times per day, with a cast granted at 50, 125, and 200 ranks. So with 200 ranks, you can use this spell four times in a day."

"This spell is very handy if an empath heals an imploded corps giving the empath level 3 wounds in most areas. One cast and completely healed leaving no scars behind. Saves time and a lot of mana."

"Battles are fast and furious, so id have a code word used, such as yelling medic to draw attention to immediate healing, in case an injury got missed in all the combat swinging."

"Appraise group shows the health of all in your group at once. Clerics will get a tad more info such as spirit health too."

"Cleric giving life, also get to see how much spirit a person has"

"Like with mother, able to have 12 spirit points would be a nightmare for a tiny cleric to raise"

"The next goal would be trying to assist in keeping the group safe in battle as one can."

"As a Support Puff, within my range, I would cast the spell 1120, sympathy. A very nice group spell that when attackers fail to ward will protect the group."

"All creatures that fail the warding check will become unable to attack the Empath, or his/her group, and attempt to attack each other instead."

"If they are fighting themselves...they wont be hurting your party"

"Training in Spiritual and/or Mental Mana Controls will increase the possible number of targets."

Roelaren whispers to the group, "But ye have to cast it soon enough like when they first attack."

"The Undead, not possessive of feelings, are even harder to provoke with Sympathy."

Denissa agrees with Roelaren.

"So i would cast troll blood on group before we go out, when bandits first jump the group cast 1120"

Denissa softly says, "Then watch for injuries for those it didnt affect."

"However, with advanced training in Mental Lore, Telepathy the caster is able to make them remember past feelings from being alive to simulate sympathy."

"At the minimum, the caster will need half the Undead's level in Mental Lore, Telepathy ranks to even have a chance to affect the undead creature."

"Furthermore, if the Empath's Mental Lore, Telepathy ranks are equal to, or greater than, the undead monster's level then the caster will successfully be able to affect the undead 100% of the time, subject to the target failing the warding check."

"With all the lore I do train in, I have yet to focus upon lore telepathy. Though this does fall under lifestyle choices of area you wish to focus on."

"1117 = Empathic Link is an open cast spell that creates a link between any targets that fail a warding roll, lasting for 60 seconds. While in effect, this link causes all affected targets to have a chance to take the same damage/critical whenever one of the targets is hit by the original caster of the Empathic Link."

"TelepathTelepathy Lore provides a chance of (skill bonus 5)% to overload a link after casting the spell. This will cause electrical damage to one of the targets that was successfully warded, which will then"

Denissa softly says, "When i was young, i was a die hard War Puff... the Gods change voln fu, and i now lean more towards a Support Puff with a glance towards a War Puff."

Elaerina winks.

Cosannie says, "She used to stress me out hunting warhorses in her 23rd training."

Denissa softly says, "I do have my fathers fighting spirit."

Goldstr grins.

Roelaren grins at Denissa.

Denissa softly says, "And with that heart, i chose Kai as my deity."

Simonn says, "That explains a lot, I thought she musta gotten kicked in the head a few times."

Speaking softly to Tonari, Denissa says, "Did you have a question."

Tonari asks, "For appraising groups, is this something anyone can do? Or is it something limited to empaths and clerics?"

Denissa softly says, "Anyone can appr group, go ahead and try."

Denissa ponders.

Goldstr says, "I, meself would Guard er Protect her."

Denissa softly says, "Group protection songs are nice, the tonis...i believe that speeds things up, and mana."

Elaerina nods.

Elaerina says, "Keep the healer alive. Got it."

Sirona quietly says, "I can attest to Tonis..."

Goldstr nods.

Sirona quietly says, "Helps my bow a lot."

Tonari raises his hand.

Denissa nods at Tonari.

Tonari asks, "That reminds me, I had one more question as well - what is the best training to effectively send mana to an empath?"

Denissa ponders.

Denissa softly says, "I would say spirit mana control, most empaths would train in this, or some would train in mental mana control."

Roelaren says, "If i may interject it depends on the empath and thier traning."

Sirona nods once.

Roelaren agrees with Denissa.

Denissa softly says, "I personally train first in spirit, with a tad of mentoal."

Tonari nods.

Sirona quietly says, "And I trained in both."

Sirona nods once.

Speaking quietly to Tonari, Sirona says, "But most all train in spirit."

Sirona raises her hand.

Roelaren agrees with Sirona.

Sirona quietly says, "Just a more a comment...."

Denissa softly says, "Folks like mother train in spirit and elemental, which elemental is a tad higher for us to train in."

Roelaren says, "I have trained in all mana."

Roelaren says, "So i can send and recieve all."

Denissa softly asks, "How many ranks Lp do you have in each?"

Goldstr says, "Many many moons ago der used ta be Mana Partys. Everyone Infused."

Roelaren says, "I would have to look but the most in spiritual."

Sirona quietly says, "Not all of us wish to be called puffs...please do not use that when engaging with us. We are Empaths and that means something very deeply to us."

Sirona smiles quietly to herself.

Lehon agrees with Sirona.

Denissa nods at Sirona.

Roelaren says, "I think it is important when healing to be able to give mana to the person."

Tonari nods.

Sirona quietly says, "It is very helpful indeed."

Denissa softly says, "I have 80 spirit, and 12 mental."

Denissa softly says, "But i am only 80 visits to trainer."

Roelaren says, "As ye train ye will get more."

Sirona quietly says, "I have 36 mental and 40 spirit."

Denissa softly says, "Though Empath profession, does have a new shiny skill."

Denissa softly says, "Blood jewelry."

Sirona quietly says, "Sorry I mean 132 mental and 140 spirit."

Denissa softly says, "We now gain the 50k week of vitality."

Denissa softly says, "tier one cost 50k, tier 2 cost 75k, tier 3 cost 100k, tier 4 cost 125k and tier 5 cost 150k."

Denissa softly says, "The focus is restore health, stamina, and mana."

Denissa softly says, "Higher tiers you can move wounds to the jewery for 10 mins."

Roelaren smiles.

Denissa softly says, "And i believe if i read right, tier five can move them onto the foe."

Denissa softly says, "Its still new and shiny, and i just did tier one for father."

You say, "Foe loses a leg...falls over and gits smooshed by Goldstr."

You nod.

Denissa softly says, "He is my test fellow."

Sir Tebon just came through a teakwood archway.

Elaerina beams happily at Tebon!

Tebon smiles.

Denissa softly says, "Speaking of."

Tebon says, "E'enin' e'eryone."

Roelaren smiles at Tebon.

Goldstr starts chuckling at Elaerina!

Roelaren says, "Evening."

Simonn glances at Tebon and clasps his hands in a reverent gesture.

Speaking softly to Tebon, Denissa says, "Can you share your experiences of the blood jewelry and your thoughts."

Goldstr and Tebon bash their forearms in greeting.

Sirona smiles at Tebon.

Tebon says, "Apologies fer tha intrusion."

Tebon peers quizzically at Denissa.

Tebon and Goldstr bash their forearms in greeting.

Lehon gives Tebon a friendly hug.

Speaking to Denissa, Tebon says, "Asure."

Tebon taps an oval bloodstone buckle that he is wearing.

Speaking softly to Tebon, Denissa says, "Actually perfect timing dear father."

Tebon says, "So, Denissa made me this here buckle."

Speaking softly to Tebon, Denissa says, "Can you analyze it, and tell what each tier does."

Tebon says, "It 'as increased my o'erall health, my o'erall amount of mana I 'ave access ta, an' my o'erall stamina."

Tebon says, "Aye, it kin be analyzed."

Tebon says, "Analyzin' tha buckle gives a breakdown of wat each tier gives."

Denissa softly says, "And before it is worn for the first time, you can choose the location where to wear it."

Tebon adopts an agreeable expression.

Tebon says, "I chose tha buckle, ta where on me belt."

Tebon coughs.

Tebon says, "I will gladly pass it around an' let folks analyze it themselves."

Tebon says, "So e'eryone kin see wat it does."

Speaking quietly to Denissa, Sirona says, "Thank you so much for this presentation. It was very informative."

Grants enhancive attributes of +20 max health, +10 max mana, and +5 max stamina per tier.

Activated ability to regain 20% of health, 10% of stamina, or 5% of mana every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.

Attacks deal an additional amount of concussion damage, occasionally overflowing to cause Major Bleed.
- PROD: Disable the additional messaging for concussion damage.
- PINCH: Toggle whether to enable the overflow capability.

The bloodstone buckle can be TUCKed while worn in order to hide it from sight.

Alteration Guidelines
Appearance alterations are acceptable for the full 15/15/15, show, long, and read descriptions as long as the buckle's essence remains the same (a bloodstone jewelry item worn at the same permanent location). There will always be a trailing line after the show description that includes the oval bloodstone cabochon set within the jewelry.

You get no sense of whether or not the buckle may be further lightened.

Denissa softly says, "For a tier five item, it would take a full 10 weeks of 50k learning."

Denissa softly says, "Long as you nae had to suffuse points."

Denissa softly says, "This being my first try, i nae know how far i can go."

Denissa drops into a deep curtsy, moving smoothly as her arms sweep grandly to her sides.

Roelaren recites:

Goldstr grins at Denissa.

Speaking to Denissa, Cosannie says, "Good job, nice straight form on that curtsy."

Simonn raises his hand.

Denissa softly says, "I have been practicing it."

Simonn says, "I know there are scrolls with healing spells, but are there any scrolls which would allow a non-empath to TRANSFER wounds."

Denissa softly says, "Don't think so."

Simonn says, "Given that monks can learn a combat maneuver to heal minor wounds, it would be interesting."

All agreed, and then we went for a hunt, led by Tebon, to practice what we learned. Bandits for Elaerina and Denissa first. In the latter hunt we failed to protect our empath, but did complete our tasks after some raising and healing. I (Elaerina) will be studying how to do a better job protecting empaths next time!

Those who did not face utter annihilation (not me!) then hunted capped bandits.
