Fishing Song
Charlie was a famous fish;
A monster fish at that;
Never did he fall for a lure;
He liked meat rare and fat.
One day a lass with a rod arrived;
And she tied a wicked fly;
That fly did fool old Charlie;
And caught him on the sly.
But old Charlie did not lack in skill;
Nor was he weak and old;
The lass also was strong and sure;
With motive pure and cold.
They fought each other all day long;
The rod it bent and cracked!
Charlie zipped and zinged and pulled;
The angler lass pulled back!
But all fishing stories end the same;
The monster gits away;
And the lass did claim she cut him loose;
To fight another day.
