Arderon

Lord Arderon's Biography

You say it’s time I finally told a bit about myself, I suppose you are right. So where do I begin? While I suppose the beginning would be best.

I was born in a region of Elanthia that is situated on the edge of the Turmazzyrian Empire yet not quite part of it. The name of the place I was born and raised matters not anymore,, it no longer exists. I was the only child born to my parents, a half Vaalor and half human father and a half Vaalor and half Sylvan mother. So I am technically half-elven but only one quarter human. Odd bloodline you say? You are probably correct.

I was trained in the military arts from an early age (both parents were proud of their Vaalor blood and MOST of the traditions that go with that blood) and was starting to advance to the point were I was thinking of heading out in the world for a bit of adventure. I never got to make the choice myself though. I had been staying at a monastery devoted to Kai when word reached me that Imperial troops had attacked my home under the pretext of claiming that land was rightfully the property of the Empire and all those who had built the city were outlaws. Very few survived; my family was not among those that did. I was without a home and had no family other than a distant cousin with whom I had spent many summers during my early childhood.

It took almost 3 months before I finally found out my cousin’s location. I was informed I could find her in a place called Wehnimer’s Landing. Packing up my belongings, such as they were, I headed out to find her.

After several months of travel I arrived in The Landing. It was surprisingly easy to find my cousin and we have spent time talking to one another as time permits. She, however, is a bit older than myself and has never been able to spend much time with me. I was virtually alone until one day I heard talk of a group of people getting together. This group was , according to rumor, trying to establish a new House. They were dedicated to Honor, Truth, Duty, Loyalty and Friendship, the very things I was taught to believe in by my parents and by my instructors during my youth. I met with those involved and was very impressed with them ( and more than a bit awed by them). I submitted my application and within a couple of weeks was informed that I had been accepted as the first squire in House Onoir. The day I was assigned to Lord Morgiest as squire was the happiest day since my arrival in the Landing, since the death of my parents. As far as the rest of my life ,,well that has been an open book since it has been spent solely in service of House Onoir.
