Cinactus

You see before you a warrior, you approach him cautiously and ask him about himself. "Me? Now there’s a subject I don’t talk much about" he chuckles. He leans back in his chair, offering one to you and slowly begins his tale.

"Well, since I don’t know exactly where I’m from, I can’t start there” he grins. "I can only tell you what my adopted father told me. He found me on a plain near Ta'Vaalor.." he stops and ponders a moment then continues, a far off look in his eyes. "Taylon always looked angry when he spoke of that day. He said that he was hired to guard a caravan of strangers from the east. They were attacked by a band of elves from the city of Ta'Vaalor. He never explained why the attack happened, just that he and I were the only survivors. He always felt since that day that I would be his responsibility, so he took me back to his clan." You watch as his hand absently moves to his armband depicting a wolf symbol. "I grew up among his people, learning their ways and learned early on that I didn’t have the knack for moving amongst the shadows as they did. That didn’t seem to bother them. I was one of their kind, better yet, a warrior among them." He grins at you. "Many happy days were had there."

"My father, Taylon, had decided to venture on to Whenimer's Landing and I was to follow two months later. Upon my arrival, I learned that he had been betrayed by his closest friends, resulting in his death. I don’t really know the details, and the only one who will speak to me of that time says its better that I don’t know. Without Taylon to guide me in this new city, I was lost. I took up my sword and ventured out into the wilds. Once, while training in town, I met a curious person in the streets who told me of a power, that’s when the idea of vengeance slipped into my head." Cinactus smiles coldly. "I was introduced to a place of darkness and, as the idea of vengeance grew in me, so did my thirst for power. I traveled quickly down their road, unaware of what lay ahead." He pauses for a bit, rubbing the hilt of his sword and looks up at you. "I don’t know how long it was and I don’t know how many died, its all a blurry vision now."

Cinactus smiles slightly "Its almost funny when I think of it now, but my life completely changed when five little words were whispered to me." He glances at you and chuckles, "and don’t ask cause I wont tell you." He smiles, "Its enough to say it got my attention." He continues, "That was the day I met Silvaheart. Its kind of hard to say how, but since that day I've changed. She showed me the path of Voln and, since that day, I've been on it." He smiles slightly, "Because of her, I have made friends with many people, some of my closest friends are Kabriel, Frogll, Kybo, Garaven and Glatt. So many others that would take forever to list. Its amazing the amount of people you can meet in a short time!" He laughs heartily. "Silva became my closest friend, we hunted together all the time. She taught me what it was to be a warrior of Voln and, because of her, I began to open my eyes to the world around me." He glances at his wedding band and smiles.

Cinactus shakes his head and smiles, "Well that’s enough about me. Needless to say, I married Silva, she is my life now. My life is taking on new directions, and for the better it seems." He grins at you as he stands, shaking your hand he bids you farewell. "If you come back in a few years, I may have a better story to tell." With that, Cinactus takes out his axe and his shield and calls over his shoulder, "I’ve rested here enough, time to get back to the hunt."
