Garvath Mishtarion

I was born in a small village outside of Ta Vaalor. My parents were of the Vaer'sah, though I did not find this out for quite some time. When I was about 6 years old our village was attacked by grimswarm. I stuck with myfather during the fighting, though my mother, who was pregnant at the time, got separated from us. As we were searching for her my father was cut down before my eyes. I was also injured, and I passed out from the pain and shock of it. When I came to, I was alone. The village was burned to theground and all the bodies were gone. Almost as if they had never been there.
I wandered, sick and wounded for many days. I don't really remember much of this time, I was delirious from lack of food and water, and the infectionthe wound had caused. I was found by an Elvin minstrel. He took pity on me, and took me to his home in Ta Vaalor. He had never married, but he raised me as his own son, teaching me many songs and the art of the harp and mandolin.
When I reached the age of majority I decided to leave the Nations. There were just too many painful reminders of what had happened to me. So I joined a caravan to the Landing. I have stayed in the Landing for the most part since. Perfecting my techniques with music, joining the Guardians of Sunfist, so that I might prevent what happened to me from ever happening to another.
A few months back, on an escort trip to Ta Vaalor, I came across a young Aelotoi lass. Being very attractive, with a very musical voice, I bought her several drinks, in the hope of bedding her of course. Luckily, before things got too heated we decided to swap histories. It turns out she had been told she came from the same village I had. In fact, she had been born shortly after the attack by the grimswarm. Her mother had hidden in the forest after the attack, then sought shelter with some rangers she knew in the area. After her daughter was born she sought out the grimswarm who had attacked the village, and was never seen again.
Intrigued by this story, and with a glimmer of hope in my heart, I asked the Aelotoi lass her full name.
"Ameone Mishtarion" she told me.
My heart near burst with joy as I realized the young lady across the table from me was my sister. A sister I had thought dead before she was even born.
I immediately invited Ameone to come stay with me in the Landing, as I was a full citizen and rather well set up there. She agreed, and I have spent much of my time lately showing her the ropes of Landing life.
I joined Onoir earlier this year for two reasons. First and foremost, this house embodies the qualities that I have tried to live my life by. Loyalty, duty, and honesty. Second, some of the people I respect most in the world are members here. Tebon, Cosannie, Elbromo and of course the Lady I have loved like a sister since the day I met her, Leifa. I look forward proudly to many more years with Onoir, and the family they have become. And, if you all are lucky, one day I might bring my sister in. She is a little wilder than I am, and I warn you to guard your hearts. She has a way of insinuating herself in even the hardest heart.

I remain your faithful servant,
Lord Garvath Mishtarion
