Guister

(Roelaren) You recite :"My squire Guister has his report ready on one of the Talismans of Kai

Guister recites: "In preparation for this presentation I studied the talismans and chose honor ."
Guister recites:"This talisman resonated with me because it mentioned that honor is the glue that binds mortals together."

Guister recites:"I cherish this type of honor."

"Without honor, we are crying out in the darkness."

"Personally, I really value honor. Our exploits are nothing without it."

"What honor means to me."

"Honor, above all else, means doing what is right."

"Sometimes life can get complex and it is tough to discern right from wrong."

"During such times, the honorable adventurer should look to their moral compass.

Our gut will often tell us what the right course of action is."

Guister recites:"The more we exercise this intuition or feeling, the more honor resonates within us."

"Helping the needy is honorable.

When we can lend a hand to those in need, we are further establishing our honor."

"Think how valuable 100k is to someone just starting off on their journey.

But to us seasoned adventurers, it is a pittance."

"Without judgment or pretentiousness, this form of help speaks of personal honor."

"In general, honor cannot be sold, bought, traded or lost (since it is intangible)."

"When living honorably, it becomes a part of us."

"Sometimes honor means sacrificing something we have that is good for the greater good.

Investing time to help the community is honorable and very favorable."

Guister recites:"Treating all people with respect is an absolute necessity when determining one's honor."

"Even if you disagree with someone strongly, or have a strong dislike for a particular personality, it is always wise to at least show respect at all times."

A code of honor means following a set of principles that are not necessarily defined by law or government."

"Sometimes we have to go beyond what is lawful to do the right thing.

Acting for the good should be a personal decision."

"As many a lone adventurer has found out, following the path of honor can be critical in surviving these days."

"When one abandons their honor, they fall prey to evil forces and their soul can even become consumed."

"Those who follow honor are in it for the long game.

Those who lack an honor code, often drop out."

"It is a slippery slope indeed, which is why honor in and of itself is so valuable."

Guister recites:"Related to honor, is the idea of a moral compass.

When one's morals are in place, there is equilibrium and one s personal dignity is where it should be."

"As we leave our morals behind, honor slips away and we may find ourselves victim to a gruesome fate."

"We may implode psychologically or burn out emotionally.

Putting honor first prevents this."

"Some basic examples."

Guister recites:"When you pass by another adventurer who has been knocked down in a room full of critters, do you risk your neck to take a moment and help the fallen person up?"

Guister recites: "When helped by a cleric or empath, do you reach into your pockets and bring forth a substantial tip?"

Guister recites: "In general, stinginess should be frowned upon to the honorable."

Guister recites: "When choosing a task for a group, does one put their own self interest in front of another who might be needing more assistance?"

Guister recites: "Choosing a path of honor is important here."

Guister recites: "Somewhat more controversially, is there honor in choosing a society?"

Guister recites: "Voln has been shown to be a very honorable path, but other societies may bring about, indirectly, honorable outcomes depending on the use and frequency of the skills."

Guister recites: "Invasions are a great time to demonstrate honor."

Guister recites: "Since the town is usually in a frenzy, there is often much opportunity to help out, either by dragging bodies, raising, healing, or fighting on the vanguard in order to push back the foe."

Guister recites: "Lastly, when speaking of Onoir in the general population, do we treat our ideals with respect?"

Guister recites: "Are we at all times maintaining the sanctity of our great house s aspirations?

There can be much honor in championing the cause."

Guister recites: "When it comes to acquiring honor, there is no minimum requirement.

A task cannot be considered too small to bring honor to oneself."

Guister recites:"Even the littlest of actions can be steeped in great honor."

Guister recites: "On a personal note, I have had a great struggle finding my way independently in the world."

Guister recites: "This meant I was relying too much on my family who were coddling me and holding my hand too much."

Guister recites: "Seeking honor, I have set out on my own and am striving to become an independent person.

I am striving to think and act for myself."

Guister recites: "I look forward to finding a bright future full of glory and honor that will serve to enrich my life and those around me."

Guister recites: "Any questions?"

Speaking to Guister, Goldstr says, "Jess yer last statement."

Goldstr says, "I myself strive to be as Honorable as I kin. But I nae looks fer Glory."

Guister says, "Personal glory should take second to helping others."

Goldstr says, "Was a verra well talk on Honor me friend."

Goldstr turns toward Guister and renders a sharp hand salute.

You say, "Guister will soon be up for a vote."

You say, "We still need to ask him about the Bylaws."
