Raindove Winterrlyn
Empath
Age: 27

Rarely do we perceive someone in the capacity by which they judge themselves. It is said, and I believe it to be true, that one's defining characteristics can only be truly known by those that spend the most time with them, and those that spend the least time with them. One's actions are, in fact, the most defining in anyone.

Ice Mule Trace welcomed this Giant into the world some many moons ago and it was to parents that were doting and caring. An invasion of the town though soon claimed my parents and left me at my 8th training with no way to really hunt for food, and only a novice level of training in the empathic arts to rely on the generosity of others. I knew that my life would change one day but I had no idea the level of change that would come.

With the help of a great Wizard, I fell into a deep sleep for many years, my body carefully laid to rest in a safe place, and the years and wars passed me by, leaving me only to my dreams and plans for my future. When I awoke, I found that the coldness of the Land of Ice did not suit me anymore and the life I was born to would have to be a distant memory as I took a guide to the esteemed Wehnimer's Landing.

The Landing had been a place my parents often told me of, but had never felt I was old enough to travel to. They told me of the area, of the creatures and of the dangers. The folk, they promised, would be fun loving and adventurous, and very willing to help strangers. As an Empath growing up, I could think of no better a place to move to, so off I went.

I found that my parents were right about most of everything they told me. I grew to love the folk as I studied my empathy and one day, a grizzled old warrior approached me to seek my destiny at the path east of town. I could not have known the joy and fulfillment I would find down that path of enlightenment. Voln became the center of my healing and the center of my life.

Through the Lords of Liabo, I learned that honor, enlightenment, courage and joy could be had through the Order and I applied all of those principles to my life in general. Folk that received my healing were touched and filled me with a sense of accomplishment and deeper gratification then I had ever known. As I grew in ability and stature, I began to use my gifts and blessings to help the younger folk around me. With bright eyed enthusiasm, they drank from the well that so deeply filled my soul. My path was clear now, and I only lacked more folk to share it with.

All this was true and overwhelming until a brave warrior entered my life. He was handsome and distinguished and his dedication to the Order of Voln was so inspiring that I found myself looking forward to his every need of my healing touch. He would come to the courtyard, bruised and bloody, but with always a smile and gratitude that warmed my heart beyond belief. Despite his wounds though, he would always take the time to talk with me, occasionally favoring me with a story or song in the Courtyard, for not only me, but for all who rested there. Balantine was his name and he won my heart so boldly, yet so quietly.

He invited me one day to a meeting of the House Onoir. I was perplexed and curious both. I had no other affiliations in the lands, but I had oft wondered of the families that the Houses become, so I agreed to come to the meeting with him. I was so pleased to meet the Lady Paladin there, Matti, as she had also played such a huge part in my training without ever having known. She would come through the Voln Courtyard and offer me boxes and treasures every so often, saying, "Here. Please take this as a token of my appreciation for your dedication to the Order and our profession". I did nay understand that kindness, but she made me want to . . . Make her proud somehow. When I found out that she was indeed the Lady Paladin of Onoir, I knew that it was something I wanted, . . Nay needed to do with my life. To dedicate my life and my gifts to the honorable and noble House Daingneach Onoir.
