Roelaren Tharbirieign

Roelaren Tharbirieign

I was born on the 21st day of Eorgaen, in the year 4947, in the Elven Nation's town of Ta'Vaalor, currently I am a citizen of Ice Mule Trace.

Orphaned as an infant, I was taught nothing of my elven history. I have no recollection of how I survived, I just remember being a street urchin running errands for the Delivery Service and the guards, in order to eat. I have always been empathic, taking in wounded animals and nurturing them back to health, I feel their pain and suffering and take it from them. This realization of my feelings and abilities led me to become a healer by profession. During this time in Ta'Vaalor I was befriended my a dark Elf wizard and a Giantkin cleric, who took me off of the streets, cleaned me up, fed me, trained me in survival skills and directed my training as an empath, all the time hiding their true nature from me. When I had trained 5 times, we moved from Ta'Vaalor and made Mule our home. I continued in my training and learning at their hands for well over another year. I joined Twilight Hall as well, being it was a house for casters, at the invitation of my dark elf tutor. I came to realize that the two of them had befriended and helped me solely to exploit me and my skills. I disassociated myself from them and had no further contact with them. Eventually they both left the lands.

I stayed in mule and continued with my calling as a healer, once again on the streets but growing in skill and knowledge daily. I was able to take refuge and solace in Twilight house, knowing that it was a place to belong to that would understand me. Eventually I was noticed and then adopted by a kind and noble Giantkin couple, Lord Giantbandus a warrior and Lady Tisha, a cleric. They took me under their wing and sheltered me. They provided an environment of trust and belonging never experienced by me before. Their actions and teachings imparted to me the meaning of being a steward to the people and to the lands. I blossomed and grew in my skills as a healer. It is with great sorry to say that they are no longer a part of these lands but they are always a part of me and I carry them in my heart.

When recalling those folk who had a direct and important influence on my life, one Empath stands out, Lady Silversoft. She befriended me, as she has many young empaths, and taught me the nuances of true healing and the courtesies Empaths should have for each other and their patients. Many times she healed me so I could continue healing others without dying. This being only one example of all she has done and still does for me and others.

I have never sought out public office, nor am I a hunter, I am a healer first and foremost to anything else I do. Albeit my training as an Empath has hindered my ability to be an efficient hunter, I do help others with hunting, healing them, carrying their loads, and trying to keep them safe. I am a spell caster, I carry a runestaff, and other than being a wife and companion to my husband Barzillia Stormshadow, I consider healing others paramont in my life.

It was in Mule that I met my future husband, Barzillia Stormshadow, an honest lock picker by profession and a skilled hunter. Even though I have been courted by many young men of all races and professions, I had never given my heart to anyone nor had I been married. Given my background trust was and is difficult for me. Barz courted me as a gentleman would befitting a lady, and through his actions and words he honored and respected me. I came to respect him and love him and accepted his proposal of marriage. We were wed on the 28th day of Fashance in the year 5111.

After meeting Barz, I joined the Drakes with him, primarily for the fellowship not the hunting. Occasionally I accompany them but still remain in the capacity of a healer and a hauler when needed with limited hunting skills.

I sought out house Daingneach Onoir to become a member because of their code of honor, virtue, honesty, humility, justice and the caliber of people associated with it. I have lived my life helping folk in any way I can. I came from humble beginnings and have endeavored to remain humble through out my life in all that I do. My first thoughts are always about what I can do for others , and I look for the good in them. I feel that my life, to the best of my abilities, exemplifies the virtues that are paramount to that noble house and appreciate the family spirit that is there and that has been shown and shared with me by Lady Cosannie and the other members.
