Lord Tebon Hawggweiler
Ello an’ well met!
I be Lord Tebon Hawggweiler, Lord Scribe of House Onoir, Knight Master of Lord Voln.
I has had a fairly difficult road ta get where I be taday. I were raised jus south of Icemule Trace, in a village dat does nae longer exist. Da village were called quite simply, Wraith Village. Twas a name dat udder villages in da area called where we lived, caused we was constantly under attack from wraiths. Da walls of me village had wraith claws adornin it all around.
Enyways, I were twenty-somethin at dis time, an’ one particular day, I decided ta head out an try an snag a rolton fer supper fer me family. Twas nearin night as I were returnin home wit two of da critters, when I smelt smoke. Now, by trainin, I is a fiter. Though me senses arenae as acute as a tree-huggers may be, I know da smell of burnin flesh when it hits me nostrils. I dropped me two kills, grabbed me axe an’ shield, an’ went ta sprintin ta me village.
When I gots der, me entire home were gone up in flames. From da looks of it, Luukos finally got ticked off at me village fer tearin through his wraiths on a daily basis, an’ put a personal touch to it. I saw wraiths dat evenin dat I has neber seen afore. Des suckers was plain nasty. Der were plenty of da wraiths dat me peoples was used ta fendin off. But des new wraiths were too much. Me village were a total shamble. As I charged in ta what was left of me home, I let out a cry of anguish an’ charged at one of da nasty lookin wraiths, knowin full an’ well it woul’ prolly swat me back like a fly. Didn’t care though, better ta die in battle wit me peoples den ta die alone wit no one, I thought. Welp I guess dis wraith was in a good mood or sometin, it jus looked at me, skerred me senseless. I dropped me axe an’ shield an’ went off at full speed right back out da village, an’ I didn’t stop til I almost reached Glatoph.
While on top of da Glacier, thoughts were rampant throughout me head. Me home were gone, me family...gone. Twas jus me left, an’ here I were on top of a friggin mountain of ice wearin nuttin but a pair of britches and an oiled shirt. I had heard of dis town on da coast, by da name of Wehnimer’s Landin. We had visitors ta me home from der. Dey was friendly enuff. Came up der an traded goods wit us, told tales, drank alot of ale. Jus being merry an’ stuff.
I also heard dat near der was a monastery dat were devoted ta da freein of undead souls dat Luukos had cursed.
I made meself a vow right den ta do everyting in me power ta tick Luukos off. All I could tink of were revenge, fer destroyin everyting dat meant anyting ta me.
After a goodly walk down da mountain an’ through some forest lands, I came upon da wall’s of Wehnimer’s Landin. Big place. Enyways, from der I met a whole bunches of peoples, most all of dem friendly an’ wat not. Dey lead me inta da direction of dis grizzled ol’ warrior. He looked at me an tol’ me ta come back when I were ready ta talk ta him. Takin advice dat were given ta me, I began ta train in da ways of a warrior. I also took to da books. I were not vera learned back den, not much better now, but I do knows stuff. I especially studied up on Voln an’ Luukos. After trainin in da ways of fitin fer awhile, I decided dat I did nae wanna be jus a normal sell sword. I wanted ta have a mission ta me life. Tha revenge that I desired so badly were still fresh in me mind. But revenge ta me, den, seemed wrong.
Welp, friends again pointed me ta dat grizzled ol’ warrior. An’ dis warrior told me a lil bit about da followers of Lord Voln. After findin me way ta da monastery. Many peoples helped out. From der on, I concentrated me trainin in fitin da unlife dat Luukos curses. Some time after dat, I were blessed by Voln by given da title as a Master in da skills dat he an’ da Gods of Liabo grant to does dat follow da path of enlightenment. Knowin dat Voln were da Paladin of Liabo, it got me ta tinkin, I wonder ifin der be a group of Paladins at da Landin? An’ low an’ behold der were! One of my dearest friends in da lands, Lady Matti were a member of dis fine group. She introduced me ta da group. I filled out an application to da house, an’ den were accepted. An’ I were honored when da first Lord Paladin of House Onoir, Lord Aonghus MacGreghor, took me on as his Squire. Sadly, Aonghus died from a mysterious disease afore I reached Paladinhood. Though I know in me heart, dat when Drandar knighted me as such, I heard in me head "Ye done good lad, ye done good.".
More recently I was again honored by me brudders an’ sisters of House Onoir, when dey chose me ta be da House Scribe. Dis is an honor dat I take seriously an’ do try me best at.
Tis a long an’ borin history, but wat do ye expect...I is jus a fiter. We dunnae do much, but wat we do, we do good........
Honor, Duty, Loyalty, Nobility
By my hand,
